Guns you want, but are too fucking expensive for poorfags like me.
>>32147324
Be glad you can't afford that, they're over hyped as fuck.
>>32147370
And Korth isn't?
>>32147389
Korth guns aren't made to be safe queens, although most of them end up as such due to their price tag.
Unlike the old Colts, Korth guns can actually stand up to abuse and fire thousands of full power magnum loads without breaking or wearing out.
>>32147411
So, like a Ruger, DW, Smith, etc?
>>32147324
Desert Eagles. I know they're just meme guns but I've always wanted one anyway, and boy did they get expensive. Seems like you can't even find a used one for less than $1000 nowadays. I could of sworn they were around $800ish in the used market not too long ago. I guess all the Call of Duty kids are all grown up and lusting after them, jacking up the price. ;_;
The Bren Ten, even if that revival ever actually gets off the ground it'd still be out of my price range.
>>32147324
Why the hell are these so expensive? What makes them that much better than a GP100 or a S&W 686?
Is it just that they stopped making them and hurr walking dead?
if so why doesn't Colt start making them again?
>>32147426
I'd say they're at least on par with Ruger, probably a bit better when it comes to durability.
But the strength of a typical Ruger revolver comes from the fact that they're overbuilt and beefy as fuck.
The strength of a Korth comes from the fact that it's made of the very best steels, heat treated to perfection, and handfit together by some of the best gunsmiths in the world.
>>32147441
i've seen a couple used ones go for 900 ish on gunbroker.
Just like ps90's used to be 800-1k, now they are all 1.4K and up.
Fucking retarded
>>32147324
>>32147324
>>32147713
They are like $1200
>>32147324
eternal poorfag
>>32147465
So you don't actually have any experience with them whatsoever?
I'm not saying they aren't great, they probably are and certainly look the part. But reread what you wrote, and you sound like the most vapid of fanboys.
>>32147755
plus a tax stamp, but yea, it's sad...
>>32147324
fuck me, just had to reshingle my roof
I don't really lust over hyper expensive guns. Kind of a poorfag. Most expensive thing I really want is a S&W Model 29 at the moment. Besides that, a Marlin Guide Gun, but I could afford one of those after 2-3 months of saving up.
>>32147465
Rugers aren't overbuilt. They're beefier because their frames are cast instead of forged like Smith & Wesson revolvers. There needs to be more metal in a cast part to be as strong as a forged part. Also, those "Ruger only" rounds are only relevant in .45 Colt. When .45 Colt was more popular, people would load it really hot for rifles in .45 Colt. Ruger sells single action revolvers which are popular in .45 Colt and the DA/SA guns Smith & Wesson sells aren't popular in .45 Colt. Ruger has built their new single action revolvers even beefier than the regular cast frame which would already have to be thicker than a forged frame even in weaker loads.
>>32147324
One of these days, 50+% the old farts who've collected those and drove up the price are going to die in the span of 10 years.
OP will probably be in the minority of people who give a damn about "serious" revolver collecting and get it for a steal.
It's happened with other guns as generations pass and the new market won't particularly care about their "once" highly sought after guns any more, it'll happen again.
>>32147457
A lot of the cost has to do with "The Legend" of how good they are.
Pythons were always considered to be expensive for revolvers and were high quality units. Quality item goes out of production, price goes up. Walking Dead jacked up the prices further.
Pythons were hand-fitted, and have been out of production long enough that all the skilled craftsmen who made them are either retired, forgot how to do it, or dead. Colt couldn't make them the same if they wanted to.

>Walking Dead jacked up the prices further.
As much as I like the idea of more people getting into firearms and potentially wanting to protect our rights, I hate the incredible amount of yuppies and retards it brings. I've heard enough ebin zombie shit and seen enough new mall ninjas born out of call of duty to last me 3 fucking lifetimes.
>>32148481
They only haven't been made for 10 years.
one day
>>32147324
M1A. I want one bad but $1500 is way out of my budget.
probably never. out side the fact that the one or two that are actually out there wont ever come up for sale but if they did they'd expensive as fuck
>>32149638
That stock is like $700 alone
>>32149695
it's an 8-9k gun so...one day

>>32149670
just buy an older S&W 39 and dress it up.
>>32149759
i dont want a fiero with a body kit
>>32149731
It's not even about cost, it's mainly just finding one of the fucking things
I expect to just find one some day at a pawn shop for $1200 or something before I find one on GB worth buying.
>>32149787
its the same fucking gun, what do you think they built the mark 22 off of?
>>32149670
I always wanted one of the beretta 92s with the slide locks like that, but apparently it severely reduces the life of the firearm to use it.
>>32149815
not the same can, not the same stock, not the same sights. fiero with a body kit.
>>32149812
I agree desu. I thought I was going to pay an arm and a leg for it, but I found this listing on GB around August of 2015. Got what you see and a thread protector part if you want to take the compensator off all for around $3100. I check GB every once in a while for "Mateba" and I've seen like 2 since then, and like one Grifone. People want around $4500 for one that's in a decent amount worse condition than this one and I refuse to do that shit. I think I got fucking lucky with this auction, although I've seen a few auctions relist at that price so maybe people just think they're fucking worth a shitload more than they are, I dunno.
Mine isn't all original though. You can tell it has a new barrel with the different finishes between the "upper" and "lower". Kinda hard to describe if you don't know the parts of a 6 Unica, but for anyone who doesn't know, you can kind of figure it out by looking closely at these pics. The "lower" goes until the chambers up top and goes forward below past the trigger guard and includes where the lettering is etched onto the frame. The "upper" meets up with the chambers higher up and includes the barrel meeting up with the frame down below.
All in all, this specific one is in great condition though so I'm fucking happy I actually got my hands on it when I did.
>>32150050
Yeah, they're cool guns but the fact that I remember them being in the $1k and below range back when they were still being imported really turns me off paying an absolutely insane price for one.
My top price is probably around $2500; at that price I don't see myself getting one off GB. I'd love to have one but I don't think I would shoot it as much as my other revolvers, due to fear of parts breakage or wear that couldn't be replaced easily.
Grats on yours though, glad you got it.
>dads friend owned a (supposed) unfired 6inch python
>I tell him not to sell it, I want to buy it as a gift for my dad for Christmas this year
>a week later I ask when we can meet so I can buy it
>he tells me he sold it to a gun shop owner
Now what do I buy my dad with a few thousand that I have saved up now? He doesn't go out to the range that offen, but he does a lot of hunting. I'm thinking a oddball rifle like a blaser r8 or something just as neat
>>32150088
But I guess if we're talking unobtanium, I'd probably value this one around the same price range... curious if it's going to be mega expensive like some people think or what.
Pretty stupid for BRNO to import something that only an extremely small number of collectors will ever buy- they would never recoup their costs if they do that. Price it around, say, DW 1911s and you might sell well. Price it around, say, expensive italian autos that nobody ever shoots, like pardinis, and they won't sell shit.
>>32150088
I agree. I haven't put too many rounds through mine since owning it. It's more of a novelty to me. I don't know if it makes me a pleb or a faggot or both, but the 6 Unica has been my dream gun for years upon years and seeing that auction, actually buying it, holding the physical fucking thing in my hands, it was all worth it. If nothing else just playing with the thing and admiring it makes it worth it to me. People will post way rarer, way better guns and that's cool. For some reason, this gun was my ultimate dream gun, even if it isn't the most sought after gun in the world. She makes me happy, so whatever. Plus, she's timed pretty well.
