What chest rig do you guys run for your rifles?
I see so many people on youtube running full military rigs with lots of non-ammunition carriage pouches.
I personally would run just 6-8 shingles and a drop pouch, on a very small chest rig.

I'm debating between a front/back carrier, with sideplates, or just being an idiot and saving full a full array of Interceptor OTV and play at heavy foot

Will that have armor in it, sorry?
>>32142675
Yeah, grabbing AR500s for price point and durability, maybe add IIIa inserts behind them for cushioning and high velocity blow-through, not sure if that'd even work, might tech up to ceramics later
Also getting things together to test a Locktite+denim+REI 5 floor tile build some anon suggested in a DIY Armor thread just to see if the hype is real

Just wondering (not judging) but why are you buying armor?
>>32142717
It's the last thing on my list, honestly, there for after I get everything else squared away.
Also, why not buy armor, armor's cool.

I just use a Chicom Type-81 shitrig.
>>32142722
that's almost an exact copy of what I'd run, but mine would be MOLLE and AR15

Fair enough. I probably would never wear it though. Armor is heavy and uncomfortable.
That being said any rig I build would be for sporting and that's basically it

I just bought a coyote brown LBT-6094 with some mag pouches. I think the LBT sale is still going on. I picked up some level iii+ ar500 plates to put in it a few weeks back on sale.

If you go with steel, do not purchase from AR500, waiting list is long and some of the product has been recalled. Go with steel from Spartan Armor Systems , same steel style, better coating. And remember, steel is REAL heavy, bought some and would not wear it for extended timeb, if purchasing steel, buy a nice durable plate carrier.
more like chest nigs amirite

any recommendations on a carrier that fits any cut and comes in OD/Ranger Green?
>>32142663
Usually use a london bridge rhodesian rig, the radio pouches are perfect for an Mbitr and it already has an elastic channel running up the shoulder straps for an antenna.

Might look at LBT (a little pricey, but they some times have good sales on color specific stuff) and look at the SKD P.I.G carrier, ATS makes a good product as well.
Use TBAS at work with minimal shit on it. 4 x rifle mags, CAT/cylume/pen holder, EO pouch, hydration carrier and two frags. If you need any more than that on a rig you haven't worn one long enough.
Plus obligatory battle (batman) belt with pistol and extra mags.

The Tasmian Tiger chest rigg mk2. Its very comfortable and costs about 90 €
