When did you realize that 45ACP beats 9mm?

When I read the FBI study on handgun wounding effectiveness.

There is no question that all other factors being equal, .45 is more lethal than 9mm to some degree.
Whether that's worth the extra recoil and smaller mag capacity is up to the individual.

For me, it is.
