Is there a company still producing new mosin nagants?
>>32140063
Yes, they're about $2,000 if I remember correctly.
Why would you want a new mosin?
They're only worth buying because they're decent milsurp rifles and/or just a cool historical piece of have.
For what you'd pay for a theoretical new, non milsurp mosin you could get a much better gun.
>>32140071
what's the name of the company?
>>32140063
Don't.
>>32140085
Im very aware of that. I was just wondering if someone was still making new ones.
>>32140063
there isn't an incentive to do that

>Is there a company still producing new mosin nagants?
Possibly. MOLOT sells a Mosin-Nagant hunting rifle as well as a bolt-action shotgun, but I have never been able to confirm if they are actually using new-production receivers or just recycling old ones. The barrels are definitely new; the stocks might also be recycled surplus.
They are only sold in a few markets (Australia being one, interestingly enough) and I have as yet been unable to persuade an owner to remove the action from the stock and check the tang date.

This is the hunting rifle, called "KO-91/30". It looks very much like a shortened M91/30, but the barrel profile is too thick so it is not an original Soviet barrel.

...I was gonna berate you for not typing "new production mosin nagant" in google, but can't find it myself.
It was odd to see, at Shot Show about 2 or 3 years ago.

Molot sells post-war refurbished Mosins as hunting rifles to comply with Russian gun laws.
They do sell new production Mosins though.

No.

guess that shows me for using a google derivative that won't give me targeted ads (startpage)

>dummy and replica
It's a hex receiver with pre-war escutcheons; no way that's a new rifle.
>>32140295
Company's making new ones though.
>>32140215
Here's a picture of my Molot.
Like I said, post-war refurbs marketed and sold as hunting rifles.
>>32140306
There is no actual proof that they are new rifles and not just re-builds on recycled receivers.
On the product page for the KO-91/30 and KO-91/30M there isn't even a product description; just an image.

Would buy just for a factory turned down bolt.
>>32140335
It would make so little sense to make all the tooling and manufacture one of the cheapest, shittiest and most available rifles.
