and this is where things get messy. this is not absolute fact, but as best as i can remember it. geissele then went backwards and released the mk3 which was kind of like the mk2. meanwhile they added keymod and mlok to the mk4. then they got rid of the fixed pic rail sections on the mk4 and made the mk5 and mk8. they went back again and filled in the gaps with an mk6 and 7. and then the mk9 is coming
if you count all the different rail revisions, mk's, hk rails, and the prototype 308 mk rail, theres probably over 20 different "models"

The fitment is excellent and there's no tool marks to be seen. Surprisingly light too.
