Their stuff is good; it's probably not worth the $3000 they want for a new AR because what fucking AR is, but Mark Larue is just a gigantic faggot who spends a lot of time posting really dumb shit on arfcom and will get personally offended if people dislike his products or his antics. He then will go in threads even months or a year later and refer to it.

I remember him getting mad as FUCK when people in the precision rifle forum wanted to know any sort of details at all about the Siete rifle, since all he would do is post pics and then post some decent-but-not-awe-inspiring pictures from them. People legitimately just wanted to know if it there was something new to it or if it was just another 700 clone (you know, like Stiller, Deviant, Bighorn, et al). He got upset, told everybody they were poor and bad shooters, that they had terrible taste, et cetera. Just an all around faggot.

One of my friends has one of his rifles, but I will never buy his stuff just because of what a tremendous tool he is. I know it's high quality but there are lots of high quality AR parts makers out there- he doesn't own the market by any means.

Also, his constant fan-wankery on arfcom is pretty irritating; many people on that forum seem to think that he does drawings and advertises on the site out of some sort of philanthropic motive instead of it just being, you know, really great advertising to target shit like that to the biggest AR forum out there.
Of late a lot of it has been mercifully drowned out by the "cola warrior" clique, who are more in the Geissele camp. Geissele is actually not a waste of skin and seems to be a genuinely nice guy.

But no, you got a nice trigger, enjoy it. ML is just a peter puffing fuckmunch.

Should also add that a lot of people dislike ML because of the antics when they transitioned from using Lothar Walther barrels to their in house ones; and essentially kept people on waiting lists for an enormous period of time- far past what was expected, and it was an unexpected thing for them to do when the orders were placed.

They also allowed preorders the option to ship the rifle early with a "field grade" barrel and update it later, but I think that came later on?

They are definitely accurate rifles, but I don't believe for one fucking second that guy in the MOA all day thread who claims to have had some sub 0.2 group average with an SBR Larue, although I either misremembered it or don't see it listed anymore.

No idea on lead time. Doubt you could tell a real difference in quality of trigger pull once installed on the rifle, personally. There's a big difference between a good and a bad trigger, but once you start talking about good triggers or even great triggers it's like listening to wine snobs go on about how they "feel".

FWIW my most expensive trigger is some $300 abortion for an R700 and I fucking regret it. My favorite trigger is a $110 timney for a Savage short action that just feels "right". I also have some ludicrously overpriced glock aftermarket triggers that really aren't that different from stock either... so take that as you will.

I'd cancel the Larue if the Geissele was in stock, but wouldn't sweat it too much either way. I'm, like I said, just biased against ordering from the guy anyway.
