You can activate at the tap of a button, smaller than a chem, and reusable all for $3 each.

Heh, jesus what a dumbass. I've been away for too long and missed out on all the Goss!

Might have fit in well with the Kurds lol(Im with the YPG/SDF), just had a bunch of people die on base today after one of the ammo depots blew. Looks like someone may have been welding inside the damn thing. Unconfirmed mind, don't take it as gospel but there are atleast 3 dead, we think 2 more in the rubble plus a number injured.

Yeah London is difficult, its simultaneously the best place ever, and also the most depressing soul sucking sesspool you'll ever come across. Probably still nice to visit if you have money.
Full of brown people tho...

It's weird. They claim to be revolutionaries, fighting for this and that - womens rights in particular - but dont seem to be doing anythingto actually change anything that could do with changing. As for Women's Lib, they went full pendulum swing and believe women are superior. As a man I'm not allowed to wear a tshirt in front of YPJ, nor talk about anuthing hygeine related, skmething as simple as asking wbere the showers are is forbidden. Asking about circumcision will get my throat slit haha

Took a couple of courses before I came out, got more from the guus at the TMU. No past practical exp

To keep this vaguely on topic: here's a better pic of my ISIS "costume". They use Russian rigs but manufacture their own clothes, typically in AOR1(..?) but desert camo is generally regarded as the enemy. We superior tactitions use woodland... The smock is super fucking comfy btw! Got a smaller one in the blue US Navy digicam too lol, not sure for what environment! Haha

So I gave into the cheeki meemee and bought a pair of gorkas not far back, I wasn't sure about the sizing so I went one up. This shit is so baggy, I can hardly wear it without a reserve of pants just bundle up at the bottom, which makes sense cause I got it for someone just slightly taller than me. Anyways; would putting it in the dryer do anything? I know that you can leave some clothes in the dryer, depending on the fabric, for a while, no sure how long, and they will shrink. Any thoughts?

So the anon asking about firehose pants and mentioning they carry stanag good is correct.
Metal stanags would more than likely need a pull on it but still fits.
You can't get four on the inside pocket and still close it but the outside pockets actually retain pretty well.

>I figured it was a repro. Is it from a chinese seller? How is the build quality?
Yeah it's chinks made if I recall correctly. It's pretty nice for a summer weight smock, nothing inherently windproof about it though, but when I was shooting in 36.1111*C /97*F heat while wearing it I wasn't too miserable.

>I've seen UK made repros, but those are probably more expensive since the manufacturer recently closed down.
I've been planning on picking up one of those silvermans repo smocks just to see how they compare to the chink ones.

>>32128479
much obliged
>>
>>32128614
I've heard Silverman's is just rebranded chinkshit nowadays and they're hiding behind their past reputation.

SASS (Special Air Sea Services) was the other manufacturer I was talking about. They stopped mass production (if you could even call it that) years ago and have closed up shop completely since manufacturing in the UK was too expensive.
>>

It's a real 94U/A. TRI radios need amplified ptts in order to properly transmit though. It has to work with my Peltors too, and that it does.

So just to clarify, MSA PTT's work with TRI radios and military headsets for both TX/RX? Your statement about requiring amplified PTT's is confusing because to my knowledge real U94's aren't. Appreciate the info.

There are two categories of 'real' U94s.
1 - Real TEA U94s, not amplified
2 - Real MSA U94A/Us, amplified

I have the second category, made by MSA specifically to amplify the voice sound when using such kinds of radios.
Your best bet is to avoid fleabay and just get the TRI/MSA PTT, be it U94L TRI modded or U94U/A unmodded it will work with real Sordins/Comtacs.

Also about your blade/whip question, there are also two types of thales whips.

The first being 30-128?(I believe) MHz banded, will NOT WORK on TRI freqs. The second is 30-512 MHz, the type both me (soon) and my buddy run, which should work fine on both frequencies, with some possible signal strength loss. I will evaluate it over the next month or so and try my hardest to come up with conclusive conclusions.

Let them remove kebab now and figure the politics outs later. From what I've heard the YPG have mellowed out big time on the whole leftist/socialist shit. They're more in to what Bernie Sanders want's instead of full blown Soviet communism. Not that that isn't what will eventually happen (since that's what always happens) but they just aren't as hardcore as they used to be. They're focusing on removing kebabs for now.

>>

Here yo go famalamadingdong

http://www.miwo-military.net/-produkty/pid,303/KAMIZELKA-CHI-CZYK

They aren't exactly ALICE closures but more of an updated chicom rig with plastic buckles. They even call it a chinese vest. There are a few different variants of chest rigs on that site that are pretty cool. Also the only place I've been able to find legit Polish gear.
>>
>>32129991

Good to know, thanks. The PX-Airsoft guys sell modded TRI 152's and say you don't need any other amped PTT's. Have you heard anything about those? Also what's the best place to get one in the least amount of time?

I'm personally biased towards tactical gear trade, mainly because they sell the radio for 240 which is hella below MSRP, and the PTTs are on sale for 62 I think right now.

>>32130201
SOFTT is definitely different, I was trained on a CAT but I like it a bit better because it has a smaller profile, and once you get used to it it fits quicker, though that may just be my experience.

Oh shit forgot two things. One, the link for the PTT:

http://www.tacticalgeartrade.com/tri-original-msa-u94-ptt-for-tri-prc-152-6-pins-radio.html

Also WGWS, it's a bladetech USP tac holster on their duty drop system that I had to hella modify in order to get it to fit properly into the belt. I am not a smart man.
>>
>>32130293
Even with the weird screw thing?
What is your holster set up? Does it have velcro on both sides of the inside loop to help keep the inner belt fixed to the outer belt?
>>

Thanks dude!
>>
>>32130200
ah ok. Never seen anything like that but if you find something, post it up because I'm interested myself.

I'd probably have to make it from a chicom. Good thing both chicoms and ALICE closures can be bought over the internet.

The real things probably don't exist outside of collections nowadays.
>>
>>32130336
It does not, seeing as me being a knucklehead it's just a standard oaddle holster that is nig rigged into the belt hardcore. And the weird twist thing I find oddly helps getting a super tight sinch rather than having to pull with all your might like the CAT. I'm a smaller framed dude so I can get a tighter TQ fit with the SOFTT.

Can't get the plates to sit properly, they hang too low for me, about an inch or two below my clavicle. Maybe I just need to beef up! Other than that it's great! Super comfy, holds weight well, dont get awfully sweaty in it lole my old one thanks to the 3d mesh. Decent kit. Avoid Warrior's open single mag pouched for AK though, bit shit - wayyy to baggy. 556 nato open singles are fine, as are the NATO double pouches.

Send them an email, lie about not being a fashy goy, buy a plane ticket, dont give them deets, when they ask for your name and contact info lie again, make a western friend to give your info to incase you die.

Your personal info will be stored on the same laptop they use day to day at the academy. It is compromised. Can confirm.

Oh they say not to bring mil-equipment, but you can. Increases the risk of being arrested but the guys scanning my bags just gave me a wink. Limit the amount of stuff you bring though, your contact will throw a hissyfit and nick what you leave behind.

I cancelled an order for this to get an LBT-6094 instead because the stitching on the left shoulder strap looked like it might fail since it's only a buckle there.

Was that retarded?

LBT was having a sale so the price came out to be exactly the same anyway and the LBT is American made, which is nice, but I'm kind of worried since I haven't received confirmation they actually cancelled my DCS order yet. I better not get both in the mail, I've been spending too much money lately.
>>
>>32135384

So, I was wondering, how effective would Cage-Camo actually be? When I first saw it I thought it looked like Chocolate-Chip almost, until I opened it at least. What do you guys think?
>>
>>32135425
I lurk these threads very rarely and LBT was a brand I remember being held in high regard here, so when I found out I could get their shit for the same price as the Warrior DCS stuff I figured I should.

I just feel like I probably was worrying about nothing with the stitching on that quick release buckle in the DCS. It didn't help the only person reviewing it I could find on youtube that wasn't an airshitter was James Yeager though.
>>
>>32135384
>Was that retarded?
For the reason given? Yes. That buckle can take like 600lb of force from memory. Might be more desu.
Poor stitching is poor stitching, wouldnt matter if theres a buckle or not. And it doesnt have poor stitching. My plates are about 5.5kg each and i have 6 mags up front. No problem

You can't be some nutter cunt going over to kill muslims, if you somehow make it into the country they'll fuck you off somehow. Don't be a cunt and ask to go fight, if there's fighting, you'll be sent. A lot of people rock up with the idea they're going to single handedly save Kurdistan and they'll be treated as such. The 6month minimum is more of a probationary period as very cunt and his dog turns up for 6month, write a book full of bs and fuck off. Nothing happens quickly in this country and the Kurds, while ery friendly, dont trust easily.

Few questions.
When do you know you have your right set enough to cut your straps? Obviously keep some length for future minor changes but I change my positioning every week, everything feels right and wrong at once. Or is that just how gear is?
Also for those who wear prescription glasses, what do you guys use? Do you have a daily frame and an abuse frame? Get any coatings on your lenses?
Pic related, need new glasses and need to figure my rig out.

It's empty at the moment other than a couple spare tension wrenches. Typically I'd stick a Bogata rake, a city rake, maybe a serpentine rake, a half diamond pick, a short hook, a medium hook, maybe a high hook, Peterson pry bar and Prybar lite, a Sparrows mini-jim, and a couple different sizes of tension wrenches. That's pretty much full to capacity, bordering on overstuffed. It's not a very big pouch. But being compact and Molle compatible is nice. It could use a bit more velcro on the closure though, it's come open on me a couple times. Didn't lose anything though since it was all packed so tight.

Having a bag for each situation is preferable.

>It will fit better leaving you less tired
>Adding or subtracting volume is possible in quality bags, but with sinch straps which take up less weight and volume

A good bag by gregory, osprey, deuter or any number of other manufaturers will be more comfortable, and help you carry your load better.

And for the love of god, get one that has a useful hip belt, not just some half assed inch and a half webbing with a buckle. And while youre at it, one that actually fits the length of your torso

Just bought new Salomon quests, they fit like a dream.

That said...

Get fitted. Go to EMS or REI or whatever you have near you. Figure out what kind of feet you have and get the boots that work for you. Most people here would be fine in trail runners or a medium hiker (Like the Oboz Bridger). Heres a couple of generalizations about how different brands run:

>Keen fits wide all over with low arches. Good for fatties and people who actually need wide shoes.

>Oboz is middle of the road in fit, but actually supports your arch and foot because it uses the superfeet insole. Deep heel cup, so if you have a rounded heel, look at these

>Vasque is a little wider, and boxier in the toe. Pretty middle of the road and very durable. Look at the St Elias for a good backpacking boot you could still wear to dinner

>Salomon is a wide toe with a narrow heel. They fit a lot of different feet because most people who have narrow feet like having space in the toe and people with fat feet mostly have normal feet and wide toes. Buy these boots if you want to have boots that feel like running shoes or pretend you're DEVGRU

>Asolo runs narrow as fuck and make good stuff. I see lots of people try to squeeze into Fugitives or TPS 520 because they're awesome boots. These people end up with foot pain and complain on the internet about their purchase on /out/

>Scarpa is a wide heel with a narrow toe. I hate them

>Unless you dish out for top dollar Merrells, youre getting shitty chinese boots you could buy from anywhere else for half. If youre a poorfag i understand, but realize ill judge you for not spending another $15 for Vasques that will last 75% longer

I hope this helps.

This generally works for me

1 pair for every 8 hours outdoors (or sooner if i'm doing strenuous hiking or whatever), with each worn pair having at least 12 hours to dry out in my pack.

Figure out about how many hours it takes your feet to sweat out your socks, and how long you'll be out.
