Well the aftermarket isn't great and never really has been unfortunately. Most tokarev barels are dark but shootable. You may be able to find one on eBay they pop up from time to time. As far as grips go you may be able to find tokagypt grips for it, or perhaps just get one of those hogue wrap around things that slide in if you wana get comfy. Your best bet is really gunbroker or EBay.

Tokarev has a steep grip angle. OP ought to to research the old one handed sideways stance, as this gun was designed for it. The shallower angle of a 1911 can be simulated with grips from amazon or ebay, but PISTOL IS FINE

Not by a very significant amount. Also there were carbine loads of 7.63mm, so pressure wise, the cartridge could compare.

As for .30 Carbine, I don't see why, it is a small and light rifle cartridge, which greatly outperforms 7.62mm Tokarev

There's grips you can get; I got some nice redwood ones years ago. Not too cheap however, I recall them being like $60. Worth it, though. Got them out of necessity to be honest; the plastic ones just kept coming loose while firing. Put down the pistol, and a grip panel or two would fall off. Ideally, if I could ever got some of those awesome Tokegypt style grips that improve the ergonomics of how it feels, that would be God-like. TT-33 would quickly become one of my favourite pistols, certainly a favourite for CC. Can't remember where I got the grips, but yeah, just check eBay.
