well it seems the CNC fairy left me a present.
also known as a shit you made/DIY/whatever thread.
early protoype, still some fitment issues.
fits pretty good, though i had to grind off the little locking nubs on the magazine.
need to design a new retainer for it now. using a modified stock one.
guess i'm only one making stuff.
whats the weight vs a plastic fp? does it increase capacity?
good stuff OP, personal touches really add character to a gun, even if it is a glock

Not trying to be an smart ass but whats the point? You ruined a mag body by grinding the nubs off so the base plates wont stay on. Just so you can put a big hunk of aluminum that adds no capacity to the magazine?
I get wanting to get better at machining and trying new things cause i do shit like that. But that piece is pretty fucking fail you need to work on it before you post it on /k/

This. What exactly were you going for here op?

it's not supposed to add capacity, that would make it illegal here, note how it is a single stack 10 rounder.
it's suppposed to add a bit of weight, be longer so it'll clear a magwell, and be less fragile than plastic when it falls on a concrete floor.

its not going to fall off, thats what the retainer plate is for.
Late night bump
Made some night sights for my new P99.
There seem to be no two dot style ones available for some reason. Made out of 4140. Tritium tubes were ordered from jolly old England, Need to figure out a better finish though. Temporarily spray painted to keep the rust out.
It glows!
Here's an in progress shot. The rear sight is finished IIRC, other than the corner radii and paint. The front sight needs the hole tapped, and the hole for the tube drilled. And the remnant removed of course. Both were done on a manual mill.
Had to wait for the tap to be shipped. 3-48 tap. Pretty small.
