I need more money. I can only buy 1-2 guns a year. This Christmas I will be getting a B&T APC45. Next year I'll probably get a Ruger precision rifle in 6.5 and maybe a suppressor
>>
>>32110936
thanks; I've almost bought one several times but always backed out. Part of it is the expense of shooting it and having to get into another caliber.

Now the CMP is sold out so I probably won't ever get one

I love seeing your Resident Evil Samurai Edge every time you post it. it's just so awesome and unique.

I've never gone after one for myself for other reasons.
if they made one with a steel frame, non decocking frame mounted safety, and SAO trigger it would be absolutely perfect. something like pic related, but obtainable and affordable.

PPK is a bb gun I received from a friend's estate actually. Picked up a P64 that's further back in the pic and it'll work until I can get a nice WWII era PPK

>>32111980
That's the same conclusion I came to. Trying to decide between a few things: Westinghouse Mosin, Turkish Mauser (grandfather brought one back w/bayo and sold it so I want one back in the family), FAL, or a 20" AR. I need a nice numbers matching 1939 k98 to match those other bayonets and that's way out of my price range for now.

I don't think it's all that small actually. the Russian and New Model 3 grips are smaller than the Schofield's by comparison.
I personally love the grip more than a single action army. I wear medium sized gloves for reference.

oddly enough I think the most comfortable revolver to shoot single action one handed is a double action revolver; the Colt Python. I can thumb back the hammer without adjusting or loosening my grip, and without moving the sights from the point of aim. it's as fast and natural as flipping the safety of a 1911.
the Schofield is similar, and a close second, but the barrel always moves and I have to loosen my grip when cocking a SAA
>>
>>32113747
>Where did you get the Samurai Edge slide from??
not him but I remember he said Brigadier slides are so hard to come by you're probably better off buying a second gun just for the parts
>>
>>32112122
>Franchi Instinct
I honestly never heard of it until now since I don't really pay attention to Franchi since their semi-autos are literally Benelli Inertia shotguns sold under a different brand (and I already own a Benelli SBE). But initial glance and the Instinct looks solid. Seems to be significantly cheaper than a Citori/Silver/Pigeon/ 828U.

Also this is kinda dumb question since I just started looking into lever actions, but is a Browning 92 just an FN made Winchester 92? I recently have had a hard on for lever actions and I kinda want a Marlin Guidegun, but I hear that modern Marlins are shit.

the Browning 1892 and 1886 lever actions they sold back in the day were made by Miroku in Japan, the same outfit that makes their Citori and other shotguns.
now that Winchester is owned by FN, their lever rifles are also made by Miroku, including my 1886 and 1873.
the current production 1873s don't have any safety features other than the half cock. the Browning brand 1886 and 1892 don't either, but the rest of the modern production Winchester brand lever actions have a tang safety and rebounding hammer. less ugly than the crossbolt safeties that Winchester used in the late 20th century, but that's the biggest difference between the Winchester and Browning leveruns. my 1886 has the safety and rebounding hammer. I got that instead of a Browning because I decided I wanted a take down model.

I've no personal experience with Marlin, but word is their QC went down the toilet once they were bought out by cerberus, so older used ones are a better bet if you're dead set on one.
other pistol caliber lever actions are made by Henry, Uberti, and Chiappa.
>>
>>32113923
>other pistol caliber lever actions are made by Henry, Uberti, and Chiappa.
Yeah see I don't want a pistol caliber lever gun at first, I want to get one in 45-70 for hunting (where I hunt is mainly hills and woods, with some open fields where you can see at most 200 yards so I don't need a .308 or 7mm waters). The Marlin guidegun is everything I want in a lever action besides the production quality control, which is kinda a deal breaker since I don't want to buy a lemon. I guess I'm first going to see if I can get a decent one used.

After I get one in 45-70, I'll get one in 22LR and another in 38spec/357mag.

for 45-70 your options are the same minus Uberti
Winchester/Browning, Henry, and Chiappa.
I really like the 1886 with the twin locking lugs, top eject, octagon barrel, and crescent buttplate.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4seN_qFLxY
I got that Winchester for the take down feature but was also heavily contemplating a trapper sized one by Chiappa.

Yeah I have the rubber grips but revolvers with rubber grips look really shit to me. If you want to try it in person let me know sometime.

When are you going to get night vision so we can do night ops?

If you are looking for a 4" wheel gun try to find a used Model 10, they are way higher quality and cost only slightly more. You can also try my model 10 if you want.

As for the fiveseven, I would say i had more interaction with it in my childhood in CS than splinter cell. But it didn't influence my purchase of it, I would say it was the salesperson telling me about what FNH pistol is unique to that company when I was inquiring about the fnx45 after watching Hickok's demonstration of it.

I'm an engineer and making good money, but I'm already starting to think I spend way too much on guns.

I'm>>32120104

I don't plan on selling my guns, ever.

I'm not investing in them because I think I will get my money back, I invest in them because they are worth it to me.

I'm only investing in my own enjoyment and happiness, and the freedom therein.

Hey, I'm
>>32119321
As you can clearly see, I am a newfag (I've just recently got into shooting, learning about firearms, and enjoying weapons). I'm also a poorfag (don't have much to spend between school, living, GF, etc.)

For me, it's not an experience thing or a money issue. It's just about being protected and having fun practicing.

I'm 23 and poorer than shit making like $13 an hour and I regret nothing.

I live like a monk and drive a cheap car so I can afford to have items I like to collect. Just bought a Rolex on black friday and I'm waiting for that to come in the mail.

I honestly don't get how people manage to be complete poorfags.

Why, thank you! There is so much I want to get. What do you think I should get for my next gun?

A shotty? Another rifle of sorts? A big-boy, non-CC pistol???

>Why, thank you! There is so much I want to get. What do you think I should get for my next gun?

If you want to go hunting ever, I would probably get a hunting rifle.

You don't really need a bigger pistol or a shotgun IMO.

My recommendations
>Winchester Model 70
>Weatherby Vanguard
>Montana Rifle Company ASR
>Savage Axis II
>K31

If you do want a bigger pistol though I would go CZ-75 or Jericho 941.

How does Omega from Atlantic compare to Zenith MKE?
>>
>>32120401
Oh yeah! You're speaking my language.

Weatherby Vanguard, Montana ASR, and Savage caught my eye. I've heard good things about the Savage 110

Thoughts on calibers?

>Thoughts on calibers?

Well with the Montana Rifle Company you can order the ASR in like 30 calibers which are factory standard (and basically anything if you custom order although they charge more for that).

As a medium game rifle (deer, blackbear) I would go with either 6.5 Swede or 7mm Mauser as they use short actions (which saves weight, lowers bolt travel distance, and improves the balance of the gun), can reach more or less optimal performance in a 24 inch barrel, have low recoil, are strong enough to hunt elk if you need it too, have high sectional densities which increase penetration and make them more likely to punch through bones instead of deflecting off of them, and are ballistic wonders who shoot flatter than just about every normal fudd caliber besides some (very expensive) Weatherby belted magnums.

I'm planning on getting an ASR in 6.5 Swede myself for hunting in New Hampshire.

.243, .308, or 7mm?

>How does Omega from Atlantic compare to Zenith MKE?
Omega from atlantic is made by SpechuslWeaphons so avoid it like the plague.

The Zenith is okay but its turkshit garbage
The POF MP5 is what I have and I dig it, the paint is dildos but its a solid firearm.

21, I have 29 firearms because its basically all I spend my money on.

I am out of storage space until I buy a house and build a saferoom for storing them. So I guess im saving up for a house now

7mm Mauser.

7mm RemMag isn't too great.
>>
>>32120957
Really? I hear .243 and .308 are more readily available (here in the US)
>>
>>32120910
Yeah I heard about the Bailey brothers being shit, but I've read nothing but glowing reviews for MKE. What makes POF better?
>>

>Really? I hear .243 and .308 are more readily available (here in the US)

They are but it's not exactly hard to find 7mm, plus no one is ever going to panic buy it.
