Every day concealed carry revolver choice:
3" 686+ (7 rounds)
4" 627 (8 rounds)
Which would you choose? Do you have experience with both? I keep flip-flopping; please help!

>you're a big guy
I've shot the 6" 686 quite a bit and I absolutely love it.
I can't imagine concealing that big of a revolver though, you must wear jackets.

8 shot is smaller than you would think but yes jacket gun as >>32109844 suggested being likely. Wouldn't use buffalo bore or hot reloads but great desk/car/house gun to leave loaded at all times for 8 shots of fuck you to intruders

for IWB the 686 definitely
for OWB or a horizontal or vertical shoulder rig the 627
vertical shoulder holsters are the only real practical option for barrels longer than 4"

Why hello 1974.
Revolvers are for faggots and jam all the time and typical revolver rounds are anemic in power. Get yourself a real CCW gun like a High Point or a Taurus. Cheap and shoot the good stuff.

Although I am team semi auto, i've never had a revolver jam on me

Fun times and still applicable for office wear for the busy executive who doesn't feel the need to leave q witness statement (or evidence) after dindu defense

Thanks for the integrity it goes lacking in these discussions too often. I love both for different reasons and see no reason to limit options.
627 is 5" and an 8 round cylinder is pretty fuckin big. I'm about to buy one for OC/innawoods but I don't see myself comfortably concealing it.

It would be wide for IWB but OWB or shoulder holsters would be fine.
Needs a jacket or something though.

Jacket with large exterior pockets paired with a featurless paddle holster pinned to jacket lining. Used to carry a 44 mag 4 inch this way for coyote/couger/black bear/junkie defense before I moved up north
