Drive the 20 mins. to my parents' house in a rural town. The town's full of farmers and could probably sustain itself pretty well. We'd pretty much live Amish once the fuel and batteries ran out, and we'd do all right for ourselves.

There is a small complex in Kahuku that I will be headed to in case of a nuclear strike. As long as there is no Kona winds, most of the fallout should blow SW. I figure Wheeler/Schofield, KMCB, JBPHH will all be nuked as well as the population center in Honolulu.

I live in Canada about an hour north east of Toronto so I'm probably good, but I'm going to my hunt camp up north to chill for a bit just to be sure

I live 30 miles south of a major us city but I live on the far side of a ridge. I should be good as far as the blast goes. Unless they really hammer the metro area.

By that map, the closest not-target-zone would be east. But everyone would be going east and the highway would be a parking lot. I only need to go about one mile west to put some small mountains between me and the military base 6 miles away. After the blast wave, I'd determine which way the top of the mushroom cloud is blowing and move at right angles to that.
