Luty strikes again!

I like how they're trying to blame 3D printers.

>As well as the 3D printer, the impressive equipment included computers, drill presses and other gun parts.
>3d printing
>needing a drill press to 3d print
>"It’s believed the equipment used to make these weapons were the most sophisticated of its kind found in Queensland."
>THE MOST SOPHISTICATED OF IT"S KIND
>a fucking drill press
What in the fuck is wrong with Australia?
They should make that illegal so people can't do it, oh wait.
>the impressive equipment included computers, drill presses and other gun parts
ban on evil assault drill presses when ?
>>32101915
Ban assault computers.
People can say really mean things on the internet with them.
>>32101873
I don't even see any 3D printed parts there.
What kinds of scary teflon coated x-ray proof parts are they printing? Mag followers?
>>32101873
That particular gun design looks very familiar.
If I'm not mistaken, it's adapted from one of the designs in one of Paul Luty's homemade firearm books.
>>32101937
Prehaps they used 3d printing for what it's intended for and made some models before actual gun parts
>>32101987
What exactly is there to prototype in plastic? It's made of folded sheet metal and square profile steel pipe, off of widely available blueprints. It's not like there's much test fitting required.
The only thing I can imagine them using a 3d printer for to make that, is to print jigs to use with the drill press to mill out nice neat holes.
>This is a 3D-printed submachine gun seized in drug raids on the Gold Coast last Friday
>clearly made of metal with fucking weld marks and bolts

I'm pretty sure Ausfailia has been trying to put bans/restrictions on 3D printers for a while. Their government hates freedom on the internet as well so no surprise a magic machine that can 'make anything' scares them..
>>32101938
Hence why OP said Luty strikes again. Fucking retard.
>>32102266
Well they are kinda a prison colony where yobs even England couldn't stand were shipped.
Just remember, for every Australian person you met, their recent ancestor did something _really_ bad to get kicked out of England.

>tfw your family has been in Canada so long, and mixed with so many incoming ethnic groups, that you can truly be called nothing else but Canadian.
I guess you could say my original ancestors were Acadians, but they weren't from the valley (best farmland in the province), and weren't deported, so they dropped that French shit pretty quickly.

Which by that time's standards was theft equating to like, 5 pounds. If your crime had the possibility of the death penalty, you weren't deemed 'transportable'.

>>32106274
Makes sense. Australia is full of criminals. "The public" are criminals so criminals using criminal guns will shoot criminals which are the public.
Criminals.

Nope, no bans or restrictions on 3D printers have seriously been proposed.
