Are there any semi auto "traditional" rifles in .223 or 5.56 besides the Mini-14?
jesus fuck no
>>32101460
/arg/ pls go
Tasteless tacticool faglords are the cancer of the gun community.
>>32101455
why do you even want one OP? Unless you're living in a ban state just buy a fucking AR.
Heck buy a featureless AR.
>>32101560
Allow people to be gun hipsters plox.
>>32101455
Sadly, not really. You might also look for the Ares SCR, which modifies the AR to be compatible with a sporting stock (no pistol grip) but that's about it.
Also potentially look at SKS rifles, though those are in 7.62x39.
>>32101460
>>32101560
Go back to /arg/ and understand there are people who don't like AR-15s
>>32101560
>>32101460
>2016
>people still understand how annoying it is to own an AR15 in canada
>>32102415
>and understand there are people who are contrarian hipsters
I already know this.
Ares SCR.
Look how non threatening it is!
>>32101455
try the Kel-Tec SU16
>>32102574
I'd like to. Unfortunately they've vaporware like 90% of Kel Tec's products and I've never seen one in person.
>>32101455
As someone who hates fudds with a passion I still like the Mini 14. There's something comfy about reciprocating charging handles and a traditional stock.
>>32103779
It's practically an M14 in 5.56. There's very little truly fudd about it since it's quite literally a paramilitary weapon.
Wish Heckler & Koch still made their SL series.
Neat traditional rifles in .223 and .308.
>>32101455
Not a 5.56mm but an M1 Carbine has the aesthetics you want DESU.
>>32101707
Holy fuck muh dick.
>>32103829
And here's a pic.
>>32102449
>This is now an SCR thread
Would you get one, /k/?
>>32103792
>it's quite literally a paramilitary weapon.
It is, but I know two fuddish blue collar guys who own Mini-14s and have the "black plastic guns and all pistols except stainless steel revolvers should be banned" mentality. It's hard for me not to associate it with them.
>>32102449
Look how canceled it is!
>>32103913
I heard they were still. Making it. Did it get cancelled? I haven't been able to find it anywhere...
MR1 Comfortech
>>32101455
Vepr super in .223
>>32103876
Sheeeit, looks like a tiny Gewehr 43
>>32102449
>>32103726
I thought so too but I just saw one for the first time at a local gun store
That bipod is a bitch to get back up but I'm considering getting one now
>>32103913
source? its a great idea and doesnt look bad to boot, why would they stop?
>>32103829
>>32103876
This. If Hk want to get back to the rifle market in America, they need to bring the SL-6, SL-7, HK 660, 770, and 940 back.
>>32104976
Correction, 630. Made a mistake there.
>>32101455
just get an AR with a bullet button
>>32101479
Agreed. You just look like a jackass shooting squirrels with an AR style .22 with a high capacity magazine.
>>32105041
back to arg
>>32104874
Ares got bought and the SCR is missing from the new company's website. Most places are also sold out of them.
>>32101455
>"non-assault"
>>32103779
>who hates fudds with a passion
>>32103792
>quite literally a paramilitary weapon
It converts to burst fire with a staple.
it's a better assault rifle than an M4gery because of that alone.
>>32104445
Thought that was a Benelli Nova for a split second
>op makes a thread for ar alternatives
>like 4 people immediately say "just get an ar"
People suck
>>32103897
You have autism m8
>>32102574
Plastic toy.
Glocks have more metal in those things.
>>32102574
still banned
>>32104445
Only problem is the mag well is picky...most ten rounders or p mags wont fit in it...they should make a gen 2 but it seems like benelli hust gave up on it.
>>32106065
doesn't stop idiots and anti-gun retards from thinking its somehow magically less scary because it doesn't have a pistol grip
>>32101455
If you live in a fag state that has an AWB then you more than likely have a magazine limit.
Might as well look for larger cartridges than .223 then. Unfortunately that leaves you with the M1A
>>32101560
I need to buy another AR before December 21st comes around because fuck jerry brown
>>32102449
An Ares SCR is pretty nice. Good trunk gun too--legal pretty much everywhere when using 10rd magazines.
>>32102574
>>32103726
>>32104860
I ran across one (a B model, iirc) but was unimpressed with the fragility of its upper receiver. The example I saw was broken--the polymer was missing the entire portion engaged by the takedown pin. DESU it was a shame--since the gun seemed pretty nice otherwise. It was lightweight and had a cool storage stock, Apparently 30rd steel & aluminum magazines fit in pretty well.
>>32105109
It's still mentioned on their About page, but no product page for it. I see them around on occasion.
>>32106065
>It converts to burst fire with a staple.
Explain!
>>32102574
It's not something I'd take in to combat but they work just fine if you are lucky enough to find one and not get raped on the price. The fact that pretty much anything Kel Tec is unobtanium proves that Kel Tec being shit is a meme. I have a Gen 2 Sub2K in .40 and it shoots like a dream.
>>32106668
You don't laugh at smartgun fags I take it?
what do you mean by traditional
>not shaped like M4
or
>wood
>>32105109
Oh god, who bought them? Please don't say cerberus!
>>32103726
Wtf is up with everyone saying Kel-Tec is vaporware. I see their guns all over Oklahoma. I saw two RFB's and a few RDB's at the Wanenmacher gunshow in Tulsa.
>>32108685
> post yfw the Brady Campaign quietly bought Ares to buttfuck the best Califailia legal AR rifle out there and intends to sell their products in Red states to fund their gun grabbing activities in Blue states
>>32108685
>>32109451
The company that bought them makes belt fed AR uppers. I really doubt that was the Brady campaign.
>>32109313
They push their product out slowly, mostly. I've seen a handful of SU-16's trickle in to my LGS, but never seen a Sub2k or any of their handguns in the flesh.
>>32101455
I have a hard on for m14 look.
I like to own a 223/5.56 rifle.
Will it satisfy me?
>>32108414
if you wedge a staple in between the primary and secondary sears, it'll fire one when you pull the trigger, and again when you release it
>>32101455
Keltec su16.
>mfw autocorrect changes keltec to melted
>>32102449
Scr is fucking smexy but the ergos are fucked
>>32102574
I have one and it's a great gun, I bought the A model and it's been very reliable so far. Decently accurate too.
>>32103726
>Vaporware
That's odd, the store at a local place I used to live at had an SU16 and a sub 2000 that have been there for at least a year. They couldn't get rid of them
>>32103853
Second this, pic related.
It's in a slightly weird .30 calibre, but pretty close in function to .223 IIRC
>>32102415
I've never even posted in /arg/ it's a genuine question though. The AR is the best semi auto .223 rifle on the market, and the cheapest too.
>>32106065
gonna need proofs and your doggo anon
>>32110489
But this thread is about wanting something in .223/5.56 THAT'S NOT AN AR
This is what idiots like you don't get, they don't want an AR, stop recommending them things they tell you they don't want
>>32101455
Get an SKS. 7.62x39 is just as cheap as 5.56 and you can get wood hardware aesthetics and military coolness in one package
>>32109729
>Mini 14 + staple = $400 Echo ((((TM)))) trigger
Kek.
>>32110416
30 carbine is nothing compared to a 223
