that almost sounds like "you don't need....". A Glock is better (in fact it's the best gun in terms of manufacturing tolerances, materials quality, surface finish quality, parts support and price) and even cheaper.

That reason is due to Czechoslovakian patent law. The CZ 75 was patented, but the Commies wanted it to be a secret, so they gave a secret patent, so that if another person in Czechoslovakia wanted to make a gun like the CZ 75 they would be denied, but it wouldn't hold up for international patents.

So the Italians copied it, then the Israelis, then the Chinese, now the Turks and Filipinos.

With 1911's. they are copied because the patents have long since expired.

Both are good guns though. I love my CZ and Jericho as much as I love my Colt and Springfield 1911's.

german tuning shop called Waffen Oschatz takes 75 frames (or SP01 frames for the Viper model) and puts self made 6" (also 5" but whats the point) slides + barrels on it
they make excellent precision pistols for the money which put any Sig precision to shame
