>It appears that Admiral Kuznetsov, Russia's troubled aircraft carrier, just can't take a break. Or rather can't stop breaking down. According to the Ministry of Defence the ship had experienced “technical issues” less than a day after most recent breakdown off the Syrian coast.
>It is understood that the issue was caused by a burst salt water pipe and not a previously publicised engine issue.

Holy shit vatniks. Holy fucking shit. Do you still unironically believe you can even hold a candle to Royal Navy? Just scrap your rustbuckets and use sailboats instead, everyone will understand
>>

HAHAHA

I pity those Russian sailors, I bet it's because the Mediterranean is a warm sea so the ship isn't in good condition. Hahaha they should've just bought Chinese.

The Russian navy maybe perennially underfunded, have a terrible safety record, and generally incompetent, but that Royal Navy ship actually broke down.

Russian vessels never break down, and are well known to be the most seaworthy ships in the world.

This.

All fleets of any type of vehicle have technical issues, but Russian naval issues far outstrip those of the USN or RN.

I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with Russian designs, but a lot of their stuff has been very poorly maintained since the late 80s e.g. Kuznetsov.

No, it's just confirmation bias. Just because you don't see or hear things going wrong for the Chinese doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Whilst I have no proof to offer, you've got to consider that building & maintaining complex modern warships for a modern navy isn't a walk in the park. You can clearly see that from extremely experienced navies facing issues from it, I can't imagine what it is like from a nation almost starting from the ground up.

Then you've also got to consider that that navies like Russia, US and the UK face up to intense journalistic scrutiny because of their home culture, being out on the international stage etc.

Yah feel me?

And therein lies the difference. The problems with the American and Brit designs/ ships lie in the fact that they are using some VERY cutting edge technology, so of course they will have problems and breakdowns on new and untested systems. The Russians however , are having difficulties with a proven 50+ year old design that seems to work for every other Navy that uses it.

LCS and Zumwalt are rolling out with completely new propulsion systems, so it's not uncommon for the early builds to start running into issues once those new systems start being put under stress. This has literally been the case with every new class of ship, regardless of nation.

In terms of the Kuznetsov, it's just so damn old and poorly maintained, breakdowns are inevitable.

As for the Chinese, they keep most of their ships close to home and the government there tends to repress all information that could potentially make them look bad. Plus a lot of their designs are just copies of older, proven ships.

No more than the french and they don't have half these problems with their new ships.

Also you don't know what you're talking about : maintaining an old design can be more expensive than a new one. It's a well known fact by any maintenance person in the world.

When the Charles de Gaulle carrier lost a propeller, it was later discovered the US contractor had fired its competent workers and hired faggots who did a shit job.

And I believe this is the case here. Nothing to do with "muh le super duper tech". Just a defense contractor doing a shit job.

However, the burgers can just throw money at their failures to fix them. The anglos however, not that much anymore.

Being condemned to work well sure is a hard punishment. It also teaches a thing or two to pretentious faggots. See : navantia and their S-80 for example, aka :
>"jajaja we duped the frogs of their tech to build our own submarine jajaja now we can't make it work jajaja".

tl;dr : stop eating dick and aknowledge a fix is needed on that ship. Period.
>>
>>32112571

>No more than the french and they don't have half these problems with their new ships.

Um, yes. A FUCK lot more than the French. French naval designs are extremely modest in new technology. They don't use IEP, they still don't have any AESAs, their radars aren't BMD enabled and they don't use newer generators like MT30s which are very fancy in a whole shebang of ways that Zumwalt, Type 26 and suchlike will be taking advantage of for power generation. There's no laser CIWS project in France either, which is planned for both Zumwalt and T26, and they have been designed with it in mind. They don't aim to push the boat (hurr) on guns much either, while the Zumwalt has 155mm AGS. Or side hull mounted VLS

It might not be obvious on the surface, but the US/UK ships that are being produced now are pushing a lot of borders, hence dealing with teething issues.

It's actually kinda weird how lay back or undisciplined the Russian Navy is if you go by how the sailors and marines act in this series. It's almost kinda of saddening. You can tell a large number of them don't really want to be there or are just disenfranchised. They go through the motions like a really crappy day job. consistently talking back to those of higher rank even.

The saddest part are the illiterate fatniks who are so full of fat that they're blind,
>>
>>32116766
>fatniks
Why do i only got the feeling this word is just forced here by few persons?
>>
>>32116748

Lots of really stupid people are in to guns. And I mean REALLY stupid. Just the way it is. Go to any gun website and you'll see people falling for troll threads or posting satire news like its real
>>
>>32116891
I don't know. I see a lot of peep using it. And it is rather appropriate.

Personally, I like to call uneducated american posters Poorniks, because they're invariably financially challenged and poorly educated.
>>
>>32116993
>straight out lies
And here we got the guy probaly spamming it everywhere. I have never seen a word here more forced and wrongly used as fucking fatnik. And i shit on US stuff regulary.
>>
>>32116891
Because it hurts your butt.
>>
>>32116993
Serious question: Ho often do you get called vatnik?
>>
>>32117158
>you butthurt
You just wanted to add another standard vatnik phrase?
>>
>>32117170
Getting upset about a word on the internet is the legitimate case of hurt butt.
>>
>>32117183
It is not getting better or more true when you just repeat it. Rather the opposite.
>>
>>32117213
It doesn't get any better if you deny it either.
>>
>>32117242
>you butthurt
>you denial
You are quite trying to live up at the cliche.

Flagship of Russian fleet is a tugboat.

Never once.
>>
>>32118537
So, you are so assblasted being called vatnik all the time you just started to call people who disagree with you fatniks in response? Who could have guessed.

"Declassified records later showed that three stations received the signals; however, none acted upon the call. One commander was drunk, another had ordered his men not to disturb him and a third thought it was a Japanese trap."

>Russians on /k/.

>>
>>32121390
>mmm, butthurt

A bleeding edge operational aircraft has a high incident rate, I am shocked.

Normal Russian shit is as bad as Western secret squirrel stuff.
