In. Having some problems with my mossberg 500's safety. If I rack the pump with any oof at all it slides back, after 3 pumps it shakes the safety on. Only 1,500 shells through it, less than 20 slugs

Anyone else had this happen?

I guess I'd have to say it's intended use is for general purpose. I have a semi-auto .308 for ranged targets, and I have my little AR pistol for close range/PDW. For the pistol? No, not at this time. I live on a state line and shoot on both sides of the state. Add into I have friends and family accross the country, and it becomes a hassle to travel with it. Versus, having it in pistol format, I'm good to go.

It started as a Molle FLC that I cut the top off of leaving only the inner molle belts and the outer adjusting portion. I then took a set of alice Y suspenders and removed the front two load lifters and cut the meat hooks off. then I took an LBV and cut the H harness off. and used it to help support the butt pack. Gonna get a woodland FLC and then do some mods to it to make it look a little better. right now it looks like some bubba'd shit but it works.

So I'm 6'4 and the stand 6 point I have feels wonky. Not just wobbly, but akward to hold. I'm debating going solid stock but I worry the rifle will end up to close to properly and comfortably use the sights. Is there a extension or something similar if I go that road? Things like magpuls ubr don't interest me as much as a skeleton stock.

Also being my first ar Im curious about the charging handle, I swapped out the latch to a extended one that my fingers can actually grasp. But the cycling action seems rough even before taking it out. Gonna oil it some tomorrow to be sure but was curious if it maybe binding? It could just need worked in, but not sure. My m1 doesn't have this much difficulty racking the handle but that old rifles been worn in far before I got it.

Not yet, been to busy getting ready for turkey day to even properly look it over. The factory has most of it lubed up but it felt like the charging handle was bone dry. The rear pin needed to get tapped out as it's a real snug fit. Racking it has a faint hint of residual smoke/powder. So whoever was test firing it in house didn't seem to clean her well in some areas.
