ar: sig m400. awesome gun, accurate, great urgos, reliable.'

ak: zastava m70 (one of the best ak ever made) great trigger, accurate both for an ak and in general, has NEVER jammed or had a stoppage of any kind, cheap

mini 14: accuracy is ok, cheap, and is super unreliable. sensitive to both mags and ammo

in other words, ak all the way

As much as i love FAL its not a shtf weapon. She likes being cleaned, she hates sand in all forms and the mags are rather uncommon. The whole inch and metric part divide, plus the adjustable gas system being fickle just puts it off the list.

Mini14 is terrible. Even if they fixed the accuracy problems they still use proprietary mags.


Galil is fucking solid. I can't comment on the newer galil aces, but yee olde milled receiver is a 10/10 AK clone. The AK is a step down form it.

An ar is an ar. It makes sense for every scenario and parts/ammo/mags would be abundant in any state, even commiefornia.
