Hey /k/,

Talk me out if getting Finnish m39
>>
No need to talk you out of buying one. They are very reliable rifles.
>>
>>32081196
Only good nugget
>>
>>32081257
This guy is right.
Good rifle for good price.
Wish we could have them in my country
>>
So, I have a gun show coming up in about a week in Phoenix(first weekend in December), what are the odds of finding one there?
>>
I bought one for $400 year ago. Ripped off.

It's honestly a pos. It was cracked, rusted and pitted. The only reason I didn't send it back was the fact that I live in CA and it'll probably going to be illegal soon.

I repaired it. Redid an authentic finish and re blued it (would not do that again). It was fun, but now I'm afraid people are going to give me shit for restoring it, even though I did it authentically.

I bought a VEPR and shoot 54R with that now. Honestly I think I'm gonna sell it. It's like a mosin you can't change with all the drawbacks. I'd rather own a classic American rifle for hertigae sake anyways.

do it, they're the classiest nuggets
>>
>>32081390
wow, i have never seen wood grain like that.

Also OP why would you ever not buy a gun? Madness.
>>

>Buying milsurp

Why? A savage axis will out shoot them all day long and be in better calibers.
>>
>nuggets
when will this meme end
>>
>>32081620
Because it's cool and has history.

It's like asking why buy a 67 Z28 camaro when a 2016 z28 out performs it all day long.
>>
>>32081620
psh, Mauser 98 in good condition will perform identically, to any modern boltie.
>>
>>32081620
Alright nutnfaggy get out
>>
>>32081390

Damn that wood looks beautiful.
>>
You're asking the wrong people. I have three of them.
>>
>>32081771
Why would you buy a shitty, under performing vehicle with terrible gas mileage and reliability issues? That's just dumb.
>>
>>32081196
Don't buy it. Buy Dragon dildos.
>>
>>32081332
'Restore' is still fucking with it. You probably 'fixed' problems that weren't there. Refinish the stock and revalue puts you square in the Bubba zone.
>>
>>32081196
Don't buy from classic
>>
>>32084361
Why is that? I was thinking about ordering one of theirs some time this week.

I'm convinced the "hand picked" bit is a scam. They probably just stick their arm into a barrel and fish out whatever gun they grab first.

No anon. Youre gay.
>>

You should buy one. They are very good. When I shoot mine it's hard to contain my erection.

Cost is not the only reason to buy a milsurp, faggot.

>>
>>32081257
>implying Polish M44 is not a thing
>>
>>32081321
Actually the gun show at the fairgrounds will more than likely have one or two M39's for sale on the first day as well as some Russian M44's and 91/30's. The problem is they will be sold by fudds for $200 over what they are worth. If you want one, order it from Classic or somewhere else that usually sells Mosin's. I only go to the gun shows anymore to make fun of the fudds who try to rape people on prices. If you really want an amusing time, go to the survivalist show that is in Glendale every 6 months or so. It's like 70/30 knives to guns and the guys selling guns are almost all complete idiots.

I honestly think the crack was from transport, they did a bad job packing it. But the bore was frosted and the metal was worn more than a hand pick should be. Here is the rifle I got after sending that one back.
This rifle is extremely nice, but they did go out of the way to actually hand pick it and send me photos before sending.

I dunno bb; I ordered a hand-select Yugo Mauser from Classic a few years ago; lemmie know if you see the problem they missed.
>>
>>32086532
Is that a scratch on the barrel? It's hard to make out.
>>
>>32086162
You're right, there is no reason to buy milsurp.
>>
>>32086345
Oh god, I've posted so much other people actually know what I think about shit.

But you're right. Within reason, cost shouldn't be a reason to buy milsurp. Nor should performance, since there isn't much difference between most milsurp rifles.
>>
>>32086532
They forgot the magazine
>>

Even Cabela's has them for less AND you can go there in person to inspect them before buying.

OP, they are the best bolt action combat rifle there is. Source: 20 years collecting milsurps.
