22lr is hitting $0.05, 9mm is below $0.20, is this the dawn of a new age?
Should I just wait until 2017 for the best deals? Will 22 hit 4 cents, or even 3 cents?

Online: Bought some from Cabela's the other day. They aren't in stock anymore, but keep checking. I think mine was $0.055 (5.5 cents), but I ordered some .308 for my brother in law as well. No hazard shipping fee, and that was for some Federal HP copper plated rounds. I'm sure you can find some lead crappy 22 for $0.05 at your local store depending on where you live. It's getting this good and Obama's still got another ~60 days left.
>>
>>32075995
Oh, forgot to add that Cabela's was running a free shipping for order over $99 if you use code "6THANKS" or something. Google it.

I'm convinced the guys that work my walmart don't even stock 22 or 223 anymore. They won't tell when they stock and no matter what time of day I am there never a single box of 22 and only $1cpr 223 stocked.
My wife's moms a manager there. She said she's pretty sure that they call their friends before they stock and they come clean it out. She's also seen them sell like 10-15 boxes to single customer before just doing 4-5 separate purchases.
>Mfw even mother in law is mad that she can't plink

Big surprise. Alex C doesn't even like guns anymore. He's already "moved on" to playing with toy trucks instead.
>>
>>32081253
Because it is FUCKING EXPENSIVE to do that--that building and machines are millions of dollars--when it will be a long ass time before you recoup your expenses. If the market stops panicking or gets saturated, you could lose your shirt. Much safer to run the machines you already have 24/7 with 3 shifts of workers and if need be let QC slip. (Both of these have been happening, the first is common knowledge and the last one is per the instructors at the Appleseed I just attended; they've been seeing even "top quality" ammo like Federal or CCI Mini-Mags have numerous duds per box but it doesn't hurt the ammo company sales at all because people will buy it anyways).

Because you shoot 400-600 rounds per weekend and when you do it with any other round you're paying MINIMUM twice the cost of using .22lr?

Because it lets people learn the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship without developing a flinch from recoil?

Because a .22lr hole is just as good as any other to determine how well you shot a series of fire?

You don't have to use .22lr anyways, I used an AR on day one to get some precision practice with it before I looked at how many boxes of ammo I had just used and how many more I would be using, and decided it was better to dip into my .22lr stash even if refilling it were to cost $0.10+/round and be hard to do, than to be paying $0.30+/round to keep feeding my .223.

>>
>>32082215
Appleseed events are bring-your-own-ammo, buddy. Under 18 and they usually will sell you at production cost due to a program Federal runs, over 18 and the instructors might have ammo at market value to buy or might not.

The instructors might reload but most of the students don't.
>>
>>32082293

I'm glad I jumped on the offer for 25 cents a round, but I'd still like to have the option of buying more. As it stands, everything is absurdly overpriced. I've even seen people selling Turkish surplus for 50 cents a round now, which is absolute bullshit.

Hopefully they are successful in reclassifying suppressor as safety devices. Having to pay $1000+ and wait 6-9 months for a device that quiets gunshots to a level that is borderline hearing safe is ridiculous.

I don't know that a suppressor has even been used in a crime and if it has I doubt it had any material effect on the commission of it.
