this could possibly help to arrange the particles of whatever gas you wish to use in a tube or conical shape towards the target(s)

The problem then is how you would you conduct electricity into it at a point that the plasma would be at optimum density and temperature when it reached the target.

it would most likely be very limited unless there would be a way to solidify plasma and have it propelled magnetically and ionized by some form of laser might work

keep in mind that this model would be massive in scale and require absurd amounts of expensive materials, research and time, most likely not man portable, but it's fun to pretend

What about high power microwave emmiter shooting at metal targets?

lasers make more sense sense the tech is already there and would probably act similarly. I don't see much of a advantage for plasma when laser tech is already here

No anon, we're not making lightsabers our standard infantry sidearm. Even in Star Wars it was only the Force sensitive or the insanely cyber-augmented that could use them without cutting themselves into tiny pieces.
