Lately I've been developing an intense want to rent and handle another 1911 again. All I remember is the trigger being so crisp, it's pure sex. That combined with a metal frame for minimal recoil, makes me strongly consider purchasing one in the future. The only two firearms I own are polymer and striker-fired, whilst they do their job, I'd like something a bit more interesting and aesthetically pleasing.

Yeah 1911's suck old man, you should get a glock
>>32063067
Way ahead of you, already have a Glock 19 and a Shield. They're both brety gud

I have a glock 17 and some xd's but still enjoy my 1911.

What do I need to know to build a 10mm 1911?
>>32063158
Springfield Armory?
>>32063865
Yup. Good gun. Though I took the full length guide rod out and went with a gi system.

Same here. Last year I rented a Springfield milspec and it was both the sexiest and comfiest gun I've ever fired. Unfortunately my LGS only rents out one Ruger 1911 and sells nothing but kimbers, which I think look tacky as fuck

That it's not worth the trouble.

This. 10mm will just bring out the cringe in you.
Ruger tacky? I love mine. Now, saying that, if I had the cash, I would have a colt.

Just won this in an auction Friday.
Hopefully it gets through the "books" fast and delivered to my FFL soon.
I'm hopefully buying a brand new SIG TACOPS 1911 this week from a guy on Armslist, its $800, is this a good deal?

I retract my previous statement then.
It appears that, in fact, I'm the retard.
