Was wanting to get a Glock for conceal carry(pocket/iwb) thinking between a Glock 26, 27 or Glock 30.

My lgs has 3 glock 27's in right now, held a Gen 3 and 4, like the 3 better.

If you get a 30 get the 30S. I like the 30S more than any other Glock, but the choice really depends on whether you want to blow money on .45 and lose 1/3 of your capacity over a G19 (which is basically the same size but a little slimmer when you use the 10 round mags for the G30). If you get a 27, you will probably end up getting a 9mm conversion barrel of selling it off eventually. Gen3 and 4 don't matter so much with the subcompact Glocks as far as operation, but you may want the SF or Gen4 versions for the backstraps. Don't forget to check out your extended mag options for range use and back-up carry mags.

Shot like absolute shit yesterday. Read some articles on adjusting my grip. Figured I'd go to the range today to test out what I just learned. It worked really well. I shot better today than I ever have probably.

The one problem, the slide on my glock 19 wasn't locking back sometimes. After a quick google search I've found that this was probably caused by my thumbs hitting the slide release. I am almost certain that this is what caused it because I was shooting with a "high" thumbs grip and they did at times touch the slide release, and this has never happened before today.

so my question is. How do you maintain the "high thumbs" grip without hitting the slide release.
