"Winter is shit" Edition
Anybody have any experience with telogreikas?
Winter is best
Winter is surp time.
>>32050569
Warm as fvck, but hilariously bulky (compared to more modern stuff) and ugly as sin.

So one would make a good underlayer for a shell then. Sweet, gonna get me one.

I'm waiting to see if I ever hear from this 15 year old Albanian girl I met online again with hopes that she might be able to score me some Albanian digi camo. It might be long shot, but I can't find this stuff anywhere.

Wow, a "CHRIS KYLE DEVGROOVY NAVY SEALS SNIPER UBER MEGA ULTRA RARE" piece of kit that I actually like.

What's this camo and where can i get it?
i got my M50 in the mail today, turned out to be a small reg instead of medium as described by the seller b ut it still fits like a medium, dated january 1951. Seriously did the M50 field jackets ONLY come in small reg? That's all im seeing them in
>>32056696
Curious, are you looking for one of the actual produced M50s or the converted M43s?
>>32056822
I already have both the m43/m50 but i'm asking was small reg the only size the M50's were produced? My M50 looks great and all but some of the inner lining buttons are broken but fits alright, I even made my M65 liner fit into it
>>32056848
You should get one of the era-appropriate alpaca wool liners
My guess is since the M43s/M50s/M51s have been on the surplus market for so many decades the more normal larger sizes have been sold and worn out.
>>32052071
what are these?
>>32056892
>2
Know where I can find a good cheapish liner? Also my M65 liner is medium and the M50 is small so ti fits really well. And the M50 is in better condition (no rips), My M43 however has to small rips by each lower pockets so I just sewed those closed up and gotta replace 2 from bottom buttons as well. Might snag an M51 (one that fits), the M51 I have is my grandads and its a small short
>>32056553
Lol, you can't. Sorry. Like no one. That shirt sold for some $860 today.
Was a (most likely) one off set custom made for a real op3rat0r by a company that doesn't "really" make military kit.
>>32056952
They go often for at least $15, you might have to dig around or save up for one.
>>32051679
>>32052097
Looks like Czech Vz. 95, but a desert version.
>>32053968
Man, I want one with patches. But it makes it significantly less wearable.
Heads up manlets- size large is only $1.86

Best place to buy P41 camo and accessories for a M1903A3 rifleman?
I'd prefer cheap as it will be for cosplay/Halloween shenanigans.
As I understand it, I will need some shoes, leather shin wraps for said shoes, another sling, and basically everything other than the rifle (M1903A3).
Any help will be appreciated.
>>32054087

That reminds me I was recently looking at albums of Irish UN missions and found some from UNIFIL.
It would appear they wore modified French M64 uniforms for whatever reason.

Also I discovered there is a long ass Falkland-looking DFI parka that is from the same era/uniform series as my combat tunic that I really want.
>>32057767
I'm still looking for OD stuff as well. A charity shop on ebay had a middle parka of all things, but they've clearly had a look at the going price because it isn't any cheaper than from anywhere else. Love your goodwill.
>>32057776
I've never gotten lucky at any thrift/secondhand/antique shops.
Most I've found is sterilized dress uniform jackets.

>>32057853
Shit, I love that camo, but no small size so I'm getting belgian m90 jigsaw. Currently my spring/autumn jackets are Irish combat tunic(pic related, is old version. Mine is 1995 ver. with internal chest pockets that look better imo) and black puffy ma1.
>>32059931
No clue. I'm probably the only one who would be interested in them...and I am.
Think you can send me some pictures?
I can't figure out the source of this jacket. No markings or tags. I was thinking Belgian but it doesn't seem quite the same pattern or color scheme.

Hey /milsurp/. I just got one of the polizei jackets from nugget enterprises and I had a few questions.
1 what is the style/period?
2 does it take a liner and if so what style should I look for
3 what are the little snap loops along the bottom edge
Pretty sure it is a repro because the size tag has a website on it
thanks
>>32061682
also what style of pants/boots/shirt would go best with/are accurate to the jacket?
Any ideas for something I could add to this fit?
>>32061703
Maybe milsup???
>>32061703
Switch out that commercial camo for some flecktarn and those sneakers for some ankle boots or jungle boots
>>32061682
1. Riot gear, ca. 1990s to late 00s.
German cops transitioned from wearing green to blue in the mid-00s, though green stuff still shows up here and there.
2. Nope. These things are meant to be worn over everything else (including body armor), so there's no need for a separate liner.
3. A duty belt.
What pattern are these pants? Worth anything? They're a small-regular.
>>32061891
Also 9 pairs of this, in the same sizes, and 2 jackets, one with a name on it.
>>32061860

Post pics of the tags and we can get the contract dates for you.
Choco chip is raising in value but woodland is still pretty hard to get rid of without paying someone to take it from you, unless you have proof it was worn in a significant event or has desirable insignia.

>>32062470
That's alright. Estonianon's parka is coming in tomorrow or Tuesday.
You guys got any suggestions for this environment? You can see my flecktarn parka in the distance hung up on a 9 foot dead tree. It's really only effective in front of the darkest bushes.
Seems like multicam would work very well here but I'd prefer surplus due to budgetary and larping factors. I really like aridfleck and a-tacs desert as well, but run into the same issue; it's all new(er) production and pricey. I've got some tropentarn on the way, but I think the base color will be too bright for the dirt and grasses here.
A forest fire occurred there 10-15 years ago, causing this strange landscape. In the areas that weren't affected, it's old pine forest. The trees don't branch out until above human height, so the surroundings are pretty much the same as this valley except for the reduction in sunlight.
woops
>>32061703
>>32061745
flecktarn is played out and for me lack of lower pockets in shirts is infuriating, parkas are thicker, so I'd choose woodland shirt. Boots are not an bad idea either, depends on the weather.
>>32062755
Flecktarn is kinda played out but it is the most acceptable camo (I personally don't give a fuck about if something is acceptable but people posting about 'fits' might) and if lack of lower pockets is a problem then a flecktarn parka would work just as well.
>>32063034
I'd argue generic woodland is the most acceptable to normies eyes. Either CCE or the US one.
>>32057305
You guys know of other sites with prices like these?
Holy shit, I can't help myself from buying stuff I normally wouldn't just because it's so cheap. 14 things in my cart so far and my total is $15.32

I need to take new pictures of this set in proper form without the black threads sticking out from where it was neutered.
M41 vs M43? I'm a skele, but I also want the jacket to be a as long as a jungle jacket but as thick as a field jacket. The summer version of the m41 is only 70 which is nice, and the m43 is 120. What do.
>>32069184
M43 is far superior

Which of those three countries has the best camos in your opinion
>>32072896
Use steel pipe. PVC is rather brittle and not nearly as strong.
>>32073079
Indonesian for sure, their flowing-blood pattern is my favorite of theirs, and they have a ton of oddly-colored patterns for both military and militia groups. >>32054051
I'm biased towards Jap fang since it was the first rare pattern I got, but until recently Japan hasn't had a lot of patterns, they only began mass-issuing camo in the mid 90's, even some recruits today still train wearing old Type 65 OD fatigues.
China recently started getting some unique patterns around the early 2000's but are still copycats, they have a fuckton of patterns though.

>>32078936
Does it have two buckles on the back?
Looks like a post-war British '44 Pattern belt.
Mine is also based on the 44 Pattern belt but it has no grommets nor the buckles for the yoke.
>>32078936
>>32079046
Actually from that, now inspecting and comparing to the few samples I can find, I think my belt is from the Danish M/45-59 webbing.
I can barely make out the "K" from the "HMAK" stamp.
>>32079046
Aye, it does. Note: I know it's upside-down, the buckles are uncomfortable when sitting down on them.
>>32079215
Yup, that's a 44 Pat belt.
The grommets were added so that Brit troops could use US pouches and gear alongside their own system.
>>32079241
Well that was nice of them.
Thanks for giving me some learning.
My bergmutze arrived. My first piece of wool kit!
>>32079565
Wool is life.
Is urban camouflage actually good in urban environments?
I live in major metropolitan area and about a 40 minute drive away from woods
>>32079597
amen lad
>>32079637
depends.
90% of urban camouflages are just there to look militaristic and imposing (Eastern Europe) and some are made to work (T-MOUT).
Very few actually work though.
Slovakian woodland pants
Swiss alpenflage hat
and some nato chemical jacket
all comfy as hell.
bergmutze tactical y/n?
Finally got the desert TTsKO UBACS.
>>32075846
The sleeve pocket on TTsKO uniforms is indeed meant for a Swedish bandage, huge quantities of which were given to us by the Swedish military.
Current-issue uniforms have a little bandage pocket on the left leg (which is why so many pictures of troops show guys with one trouser leg hanging way lower than the other). A Swedish bandage won't fit in that one though, because the thing is apparently designed for one of those fancy Israeli first aid dressings (or at least that's what they gave us in the military).
The belt is an East German UTV one with the keepers missing. Should match the jacket rather nicely, seeing as mystery pistol belts were an essential part of the old uniform.
>>32080314
Berry nice.
Is it going up on ebay, or?
>>32079565
It is known
>>32080511
Undecided at the moment.
I might even keep it because it's the only one of its kind I've ever come across.
>>32080554
Can't blame you, that's definitely my favorite TTSkO variant.
>>32080517
What greatcoat is that?
>>32050202
What's the best way to remove camo from smudged up milsurp so I can dye it a flat color?
>>32080892
You don't. Or bleach
>>32080892
What kind? If it's BDU then who cares but don't fuck up something nice.
>>32081013
Just surplus pixelized BDUs, nothing fancy but I don't want to look like an autist with digicam so I want to dye some in black or tan and remove the patterns
>>32081047
Post a pic
>>32081055
It's with a friend who will ship it to me in a week, no pics unfortunately beyond him describing the condition he got them in
>>32081074
Oh okay. Don't bleach it unless your positive it isn't some super duper ultra rare camouflage from the 1600s alien space Martian Type shit
>>32080623
Romanian with pants tucked inside.
>>32080314
>>32080554
Interesting, thanks very much dudeski!
Also, nice shirt. Are you gonna look for trousers and other gear to go with it or just hold onto the shirt for now?
>>32082301
I'll hold onto it for now.
EDF desert kit is ridiculously hard to find because it's considered "special clothing" and issued solely to troops actually going innasandbox. The vast majority of Estonian servicemen have never seen or handled desert camo IRL.
Fun fact: issue UBACS only come in desert flavor. All the temperate versions are private purchase items.
Russian jacket fag from earlier. Still want to know where I could the iceberg digiflora jacket but not shit commercial production
>>32082656
Is it reissued among those going over or do guys who deploy get to keep it? I imagine if they get to keep it they wouldn't be tempted to sell it from the exclusiveness of getting it.
I know the Swedes have to burn their desert stuff because Permethrin is illegal in Sweden.
Also reminds me, there was a set of Norwegian 6 color desert on the German ebay.
>>32083268
To my knowledge, special clothing (regardless of what condition it's in) HAS to be returned to the quartermaster after returning from deployment.
There are known cases of guys getting prosecuted for failing to do so.
>RIP image limit
>>32083268
That's strange, I know a guy who has a geniuine M90K uniform that he got from his uncle.
>>32084478
Bruh, we were on page 9. At least sage the post next time.
>>32084478
There are some expensive 'buy your own' companies that operate in Norway. Identical to the issued kit in design as far as I can tell, but I bet it doesn't come under the same restrictions.
i.e. this lot:
