>Not having a bayonet on your rifle
I seriously hope you guys don't do this.
Pic related, my M4.
Awaiting a sling and optic, probably gonna do standard GI sling on this one and leaning Trijicon MRO vs Aimpoint Micro T-2 will be one of the two.
There's absolutely no reason to have a bayonet on your rifle.

Dank toenails.
>>32043633
i need a bayonet for my select fire m4 also.
>>32043663
But its an M9 bayonet on a Colt 14.5" factory M4 complete upper.
Also the Smith Vortex is superior to the A2 Birdcage in its flash suppression, accuracy and ability to mount the MK48 suppressor.

whats the point of a pistol grip on a gun with a tang-mounted safety? Don't you have to break your firing grip to hit the damn safety? seems dumb af

That's a pretty crappy looking bayonet yo.
>>32043800
>but its an M9 bayonet
No, no it's not. It's a Smokey Mountain Knife Works $30 chink knockoff of an M9 bayonet that literally didn't get anything right.
>>32044567
Yes.
It *is* dumb AF, especially with the factory Mossberg grip.
>>32044728
It's actually a smith and Wesson spec ops bayonet that's better in every way than the original.
>>32045070
I've held a Smith bayonet, they're literally shit compared to the M9

>>32045589
*16 inch
>>32045589
Get a 20 with rifle gas or 14.5" with carbine gas upper. Those are the only ones that work right. 16" with mid gas work but not well.
>>32045524
>mfw I own a M4gery 16" AR and an M7 bayonet but the two don't jive

I kind of agree as far as modern guns go, I'd rather have a machete or hatchet or larger knife.
>>32043633
because I cant put a bayonet on my 10/22 without some shitty fake AR stock.
This appears to be the thread to ask but
Does anyone know where I can get cheap/affordable AK style bayonets? I don't own an AK but I recently got turned on by seeing pics of them here or online. I feel like I missed out on the chance to buy one just like I did with sks rifles.
>Bayonet
>Not having your whole longarm be a bayonet
I have an ar556. Does anyone one have any recommendations for a bayonet that wouldn't look retarded in it?

>>32045482
into the trash it goes
>>32044567
Not to mention that the slide release gets much harder to access on mossies with pistol grips
>>32046218
the ar556 already looks retarded. sorry senpai.
>>32046267
I didn't notice that, this some airsoft shit?
Nice poorfag AR. Not even worth posting.
>>32046096
Any surplus retailer line apex or rtg. They very in price depending on what county they're from but they're all relatively cheap. I grabbed a bakelite one not too long ago for $36
>>32046359
Its real, but the tip isn't very sharp. The blade has got a decent edge, but a really pointy tip would make an already questionable accessory even more retardedly dangerous to the user.
Good way to teach muzzle awareness though.
>>32046568
is the rail plastic?
>>32046368
It's meant to be a basic an M4 clone, tell me what is better for that than a Colt M4 upper and spikes Tactical M4 lower. Go ahead, I'll wait.
I bet the optic on my main AR costs more than your entire rifle. If you even own one.
>>32046580
the rail section, sides, and release is plastic, but the "tactical block" is metal and the tang of it goes almost full length into the plastic and forms the mating part that attaches to the pistol's own rail.
From everything I've read on it the actual block part is a legit piece, the bayonet is just marketing for suckers like me.
>>32044578
Nice to see someone else with one of these.
>>32045106
This is so autistic there are no words for it. Never change you glorious bastard.
>>32045864
Midlength on a 16" has the same dwell as a carbine on a 14.5" or a full length on a 20", that's literally the entire point.
You ain't know how guns work.
>implying the cool ones can even accept a bayonet
>not using superior Swiss bayonet design
>not having a bayonet able to serve any purpose in the field
>>32047746
>rifle has places that are there specifically to attach a sling
>still ties it to other parts
why
It also fits the Sig 550 series.
It's not sharp though.
>>32047771
the fuck?
>>32047776
Because a modified general purpose carrying strap is more comfortable, quieter, offers a little bit more articulation, and lets the rifle hange a little more naturally than standard issue period correct slings.
None of them worked really well with the carbine stock so field made and expedient slings were pretty common on the Commando/SMG series guns.

I bought it used and it was already green and with the stupid stock. The bayonet is only on there for photographic purposes. I'm looking for a less tacticool stock at the moment (I'll probably just take the original fixed stock).
Also I gonna put a B&T suppressor on it in the future.

I think I've seen more Vietnam era pictures of guys with xm177s with string around the stock and front sight than I have of people with slings on the swivels, let alone using them.
There is an old manual for LRRPs that specifically says to get rid of or tape down the front swivel because it isn't terribly useful.and it makes too much noise
>>32048562

Your Vz. is more or less okay.
These shortened version aren't my favored but they are fine.

>>32049689
It wouldn't fit otherwise.
Tbh I had way too much time on my hands and access to a milling machine and a beat up bayo I got for 5€. Since then I've rounded & smoothed the grip a bit more, so it looks slightly less shitty.
Dunno but I really like the carbine look. Something about those extra 10cm of thin barrel on the standard one just turns me off.
