So I've shot a few Taurus handguns, and I've got the chance to nab one of these for $150. Never been fired. Will $150 cover the headache supposedly surrounding these guns?

Holy hell.
That thing looks like the product of what happens when a barrel of ugly fucks a sack full of smashed assholes.
why buy a taurus when you can get an equally good jimenez for $100? i have a friend who is in the military and he swears by jimenez.

Also they even have a legit pocket pistol now so there's no excuse.
>>32043561
I'm not looking to buy a new handgun currently. This offer just fell into my lap.

I worked at a very large gun shop and I haven't seen one of these come back. I have seen a metric fuck ton of other Taurus models come back and almost all of them had catastrophic failures such as barrels exploded, hammer seized, frames cracked in half.
I wouldn't recommend a Taurus at any price.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you are a Southerner.
>>32043618
Yeah. That's exactly what I'm afraid of. Well fuck it then.

OR, Phil, I just like fun idioms.
Also tell me it's not true...

Most of the horror stories you hear about Taurus is from people who never owned one or even shot one and just regurgitate what others say. I work at a huge gun shop and I have not had any customers tell me of any problems with their Taurus 709 slim. This being said one of my range buddies did have some ancient Taurus blow up in his hand (he was using re-loads) he was ok but the gun was toast. I would not buy a prehistoric Taurus, but the modern stuff is pretty ok. For $150 I say go for it, maybe try to jew him down to $125.
I know a ton of niggers that own that gun. so its a good gun if you want to be like a nigger
>>32043479
Yeah, get it OP. No doubt. I'm not trolling

Ding ding ding
Apparently their current G2 striker guns run reliably. The 24/7, PT111 G2, PT140 G2 and the 709 are all good. Even big youtube channels and print sources haven't had bad things to say
I do own a 111 G2 and I'm at about 2000 rounds with the only failures being it will NOT run HydraShoks at all. Hornady works great though.

I put about 300 rounds through my pt140 and no issues whatsoever. So far so good.

>Never been fired. Will $150 cover the headache supposedly surrounding these guns?
Definitely.

Being a current owner of two Jennings and a Sedco, those guns are crap.
Literally bottom tier. Do not ever purchase one.

I really want a 140 to math my 111, but I just bought another carry gun so can't really justify it right yet.
