I've seen some connecticucks around and was wondering how many are on here? Where are great places to shoot? Any good LGS? General CT thread.

Former ctfag. Newington gun exchange has some good milsurp, but pricy. Try to haggle them down. Cabelas has best selection of ammo, and unlike their guns it's priced decently for the area. Shooting wise.... Best off joining a club, I neve found a public place I really enjoyed. However Glastonbury does have a free (state sponsored) shooting range in the summer though, was fun when I went.

Is there a waiting period for purchasing long guns? Different websites seem to have different information?
>>32041621
No, but you need a long gun permit or concealed carry permit.

I'll add If you don't have one just get the CC, it's the exact same process for either and CC lets you buy everything CT legal.

>Hoffman's: busy, mostly new name brand guns, average-high prices, used guns area used to be better. Ammo prices are average.
>Newington Gun Exchange: old military guns, fudd and some newer things. Suppressors usually in stock, ammo priced decent. Biggest used pistol selection I've seen, willing to haggle.
>Statewide Pawn: bought some crazy shit here after the preban greenlight. Prices are high for those, pistols & fudd stuff are average. Haven't been there in months, unfortunately.

There used to be a 2 week waiting period for long guns without any permits. Having a pistol permit let you buy anything instantly.
Now there's different tier permits with almost same applications process so you should just go for the top.
>ammo certificate: only buy ammo
>long gun certificate: only buy long guns
>pistol permit: buy pistols and the above plus CCW
No waiting periods, only gun or no gun.

Im under 21 so I have to stick with the long gun permit. Can I go to the police department and get it that day or is there a wait?

Not him but was like a 6 month processing time on my CC permit. If you live in a city you will probably be denied as well, or they just won't give you the application.
Wooster mountain in Danbury is a great outdoor range. I plan on going tomorrow, and getting more practice with my Walther CCP.
Also, you cucks need to get involved with the CCDL

Delta Arsenal in Wallingford and Hoffman's in Berlin (I think) are cool
