I saw a similar thread last week. I just bought a Sig MK25 TB. It is my first handgun, and I want to buy bulk FMJs for the range. I do not want to buy cheap ammo for it. So.. from where does /k/ buy bulk ammo, and what is a good quality brand?
>>
dont be autistic

cheap ammo isnt going to hurt your gun
>>
Federal Premium American Eagle 115g 9mm normal pressure for range ammo and my High Power.

Sig Sauer 124g normal pressure hollow points for the Glock 19.
>>
>>32035993
Hmm.. well, it is my first handgun. I read the manual which states to use only high quality ammunition. Where is a good place to shop in bulk?
>>
>>32036016
Thanks! Where is the best place to buy in bulk?
>>
Winchester white box for 99.99% of pistol shooting. Cheap federal 5.56 for ~3/4 of my AR shooting, Hornady 55gr vmax hand loads for the rest. Any 12ga shells. Nosler 165gr partition hand loads for my .30-06

Run cheap rounds through your pistol for range shooting. It'll be fine, and if it's not, get a new shooter
>>
>>32035980
Wolf. Seriously, just buy a 1000 round box of cheap shit and a few 20 round boxes of high end HD ammo.

>>32036031
If your gun will only shoot "high quality" ammo, you fucked up. As for your question, AmmoSeek.com will tell you where your best deal will be.

Sorry i just realized your title is for 9mm. I buy the Winchester target shooting white box for those. Serves me well at matches

Remington factory reloads.
1000 rounds for $250.
>>
>>32035980

Basic federal fmj for range time. I've actually got 4 different defense rounds because I keep getting them for my birthday or as a stocking stuffer.

I've got Remington Golden Saber, Hornady Critical Defense, Cor-Bon JHP, and I've even got a mags worth of Black Talons.
>>
>>32036031
All gun manuals say that. Mostly they mean shoot new factory-loaded ammo. They don't want you to use reloaded or remanufactured ammo because of safety issues associated with poor quality control.

Pretty much anything you buy that comes in a box from a gun shop will be good enough to function, but not necessarily what you'd want to trust your life to.

I mostly use Winchester white box for practice. Wolf and other super-cheap stuff won't harm your gun, but tends to be dirtier, less accurate, and more prone to misfire.
>>
>>32035980
Whatever's the cheapest brass case.
>>
>>32036121
Thank you, sir.

Thank you, everyone, for your input.

>>32036079
>If your gun will only shoot "high quality" ammo, you fucked up

Well, it is just what I read in the manual. It also went on to say not to use reloads or anything not factory-manufactured. Maybe it was just stating that by avoiding these, one is buying "high quality" ammunition.

>AmmoSeek.com will tell you where your best deal will be

Perfect, thank you!
>>
>>32035980
i load my own.
124 gr round nose copper plated lead with 4.5 gr of 700x and s&b small pistol primer.
>>
>>32036214

Todd???
>>
>>32036214
Nice. I used to load my own shotgun shells, but I'm not sure I would trust myself to reload my own 9mm rounds, though.
>>
>>32036165
>using HD ammo at the range
>using black talons at the range

Jesus Christ man, you really took the bait from the ammo factories that profit off of dumbasses like you

9mm are really easy to load.

i load all kinds of shit like 9mm, 45 acp, 308 win, 7.62x39, .223, 357 magnum, even load .50 AE sometimes
>>
>>32036031
When they say that, the mean "don't buy Pakistani surplus that was stored in the desert for 60 years and is probably half squibs and mostly corded, or rando reloads from a gunshow"

I just dump cheap shit tula through my m&p because I hate nice things in life

also because its the best deal on 9mm in my small town, I order ammo online occasionally but I can get tula for the same price it is online minus the shipping charges at the local chain
>>
>>32036245
wtf, pistol rounds are the easiest shit to reload. if you can drive a fucking car you can learn how to reload 9mm rounds.
>>
usually magtech 115grn. why that specific one? bc sportsmans guide has it on sale for 9.99 a box every other month (for members). add in a free shipping coupon and its one of the better 9mm bulk deals going.

Don't buy Remington. Pic related from the other day
>>
>>32035980
PMC. cheap and shoots well enough. No malfunctions in my Glock 19 or Beretta 92
>>
>>32036121
Where does Tulammo fall on this list?
>>
>>32036245
9mm is easy. You don't have to trim cases or anything fancy.

Wash the cases, seat a primer, put some powder in, seat the bullet. Crimp is optional. You're done.
>>
>>32036763
My M9A3 doesn't like PMC 9mm, it's too lightly loaded.
>>
>>32036555
i have never in thousands of rounds had a problem with remington. it's the fucking wolf you have to watch out for. i refuse to shoot wolf garbage.
>>
armscor is another brand to stay away from. poor qc from the ammo ive seen
>>
>>32036121
Federal is really God tier? Shits $9.50 a box at Walmart in my town. I have tons of it. Didn't know it was that good.
>>
>>32036823

I've personally had three squibs with it in 9mm, all from different lots. I don't buy it anymore for that reason. In fairness, however, those squibs all occurred in 2013.
>>
>>32036121
those are all decent rounds.
>>
>>32036823

Slav tier
>>
>>32036253
I think he was just talking about the ammo he has for CCW, anon. He said basic federal fmj for the range.
>>

oy vey must conserve shekels. we'll see how much you're saving when it blows your gun up and you get hit with an ER bill.

Federal Premium HST JHP 124-grain
>>
>>32036917
dont take it took seriously. federal is great plinking ammo, same as the other brands on that pic.
except for the shit tier level, thats pretty true to form in think. its not really shit but id take any of the brand above before those.
>>
>>32036952
Word. Thanks man. What are your thoughts on federal aluminum cased rounds?
>>
>>32036121
Perfecta is Fiocchi I believe. The brass cased Monarch sold by Academy is PPU.

Speer Lawman. Loaded hotter than most FMJ and it's the same exact feel and point of impact of Gold Dots respective of the bullet grain.
>>
>>32036253

Seriously, nigga?

Of course I don't use the primo shit at the range.
>>
>>32036211
"Use high quality ammunition" means don't use Philippines occupation tier ammo, with bullets made of sintered iron and powder made of cellulose film.
Wolf isn't great, it's dirty and underpowered, but it won't hurt anything.
>>
>>32036121
No Blazer?
>>
>>32036286

Not you, apparently. Todd's setup is miles beyond what you have.
>>
>>32037016
Chuckling at how I made this half jokingly a long ass time ago and I was just thinking that.

But seriously
>Lawman
>American Eagle
>Blazer Brass
>PMC Bronze

all God tier
>>
>>32036951
This is good
>>
>>32036178
Winchester is dirty as fuck

Not sure why but winchester real NATO gives me a bonner. It's manufactured by Olinda. Are there other brands that sell 9mm loaded to NATO specs? I'm under the impression it's higher than standard pressure, but not quite +P? Anyway, it runs well in my gun and I get it for 27-30 cents a round.

Federal Aluminum all day every day.

I don't keep them in their original boxes though because their packaging is madness.

Usually 9mm, thanks for asking
>>
>>32035980
I just buy whatever 124gr I can find.

I really liked the ZQI Walmart had for awhile (especially when it was on clearance for $8 a box)
