I had a good friend who did time in Leavenworth. He got 5 years and 1 day for selling MREs. You only go to Leavenworth for sentences greater than 5 years, so the court martial sentenced him to 5 years and 1 day.

He was worried about the prison rape thing, but said it wasnt real. No one wants to be raped and only rapists rape. He did say that you kept head down and didnt talk shit about anyone to anyone. There really bad dudes in there. He wasnt a bad dude, he was just selling fucking MREs. MREs he stole from the government for sure, but selling MREs isnt murder or rape.

Me again since threads active. Like others have said it's prison, but you still have to act like you're in the military.

I got stuck for 2 days because it happened on a Friday night and command didn't want to deal with it until Monday.

You make your bunk like boot camp and shit. You have to sit in a chair and all you can do is read. 2 hours a day they tell you that you can turn your chair and quietly talk to one another. You get one hour of outside time, but it's retarded. You have to stand in a military formation and get to stare at a hill.

Chow hall was actually better than my Infantry camp. They'd give you a double or even triple cheeseburger, and ice cream machine actually worked.

You had to shave your face and have a military haircut. God it sucked, but I only did 2 days.

I remember as I was being released they brought in a guy who was 80 years old in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank. I asked the guard what he did, said he had been UA for 50 years! Somehow they caught his old ass and still threw him in.
