It's me again, Gaado, coming at you with a question about these Klingon weapons. The bat'leth (pic related) seems like it could be deadly in melee combat but not how they do it on the show. How useful or realistic are these Klingon wapons?
Also post weapons from any scifi/fantasy serie
Klingon dagger
Not useful. Not realistic. Awkward and shaped wrong.
The smaller knives the ridge heads use (pic related) would probably be somewhat functional

That looks a real weapons, but I can't figure out from where
>>32028651
I always kek at the fact that they named it the batleth.
>>32028709
Khukri, Khopesh, etc.
>>32028729
Supposed to be the words for "sword" and glory" in Klingon combinedtog
>>32028709
Africa or that weird three-headed trowing knife
>>32028732
Yea, the Khopesh from Egypt
(((roar)))
>>32028794
Did somebody say "African throwing knives"?

Been a while since I looked it up but pretty sure it was made up during TNG series.
There is one in Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind called a daedric crescent
Actually looks like a fairly decent weapon since you can cover your front with some long stabby stuff i always wanted a nicely made batleth like a real attempt at one not a wall hanger type prop would be pretty good with a decent edge put on it always kind of bugs me that they're obviously blunt but for tv it's not that big of a deal

I've actually asked around on here before about these the guard/blades are spring loaded I'm pretty sure it's illegal and counts as a switch blade but I really wanted one of them too
they look unwieldy, slow, and shit overall.

Had a friend who was obsessed with these for a while. We do SCA, so we convinced him to build one out of rattan for SCA combat.
What a useless piece of shit. A bastard sword is more useful in every possible aspect.
The super wide grip does nothing, since the arc of movement is so small (the pointy ends are close to your hands). The narrower grip is just a dumb short axe. One handing it is as worthless as you would suspect.
The only thing good about it is if you are super good, and lucky, you can catch blades between the points on one end, twist it, trap the opponent's blade, and still attack with the other end.
All in all, another useless fantasy weapon.

They look like dicks lol
>>32032665
we;re going over cons here, not pros
>>32032665
That's because it's supposed to be a representation of how big the owners dick is
>>32030171
that's genuinely dicks

>daedric crescent
That thing actually originates in Elder Scrolls: Battlespire (or "Battlespire: An Elder Scrolls Adventure"), where there was a whole bunch of them. The weapon in Morrowind is basically an easter egg.
The blades are bigger than in the Klingon bat'leth, but it's missing the bit that protects your hands.

>The Kpinga (also called the Hunga Munga) was a bladed throwing knife used by the Azande of Nubia. It would have been about 22 inches in length and had three different shaped blades projecting at different angles to maximize damage to the enemy. They were classed as "Court Metal", being produced under the patronage of the powerful Avongara clan, and distributed only to professional warriors and considered status symbols. It was also part of the dowry that a man must pay to the bride's family.[1]

>capable of decapitating its victims
I choose to believe the Gloucestershire police force witnessed this first hand, as the owner of the weapon slew several officers during the ill-fated raid.
