Get the word out so the GOP can't pay lip service to rewarding us for giving them undivided government.

As all of you know, the NFA is, ostensibly, a tax. Did you know that there's an existing loophole that allows for the repeal of a tax that is absolutely filibuster-proof? It's called Reconciliation, and it's the weird process that they used to pass Obamacare.

Demand that they add a repeal of the Hughes Amendment to the HPA, and that they pass is via reconciliation. Hold any elected official to the fire if they try to pass it via normal means where the Democrats can filibuster it.

>Bureaucrats hate him! Learn this one weird trick to get any gun you want.
Can any lawfags confirm this or is OP a raging faggot?
>>
Itd work if they had 60 votes in the senate
>>
>>32021999
that's if you pass a bill via normal means. Some bills can pass via reconciliation, and you only need 51 votes for those: debate is limited to 24 hours, tops to pass. Since the NFA is technically a tax, amendments to it can be passed via reconciliation and bypass the standard process.
>>
Since the NFA and the Hughes Amendment both pertain to "revenue", the Reconciliation process can be used to ram it through.

senate republicans could rid of the filibuster. pass everything they fucking want until the 2018 elections. then hope it doesn't bite them in the ass come 2020.
>>
>>32021999
all they need are 10 or so democrats in the senate that will pass a pro gun bill.

they only thing holding them back is the threat of having campaign funds cut off and having a serious primary challenger. so we need to find a way to fund and support those democrats that cross party lines to vote pro gun.

terrible idea to get rid of the filibuster when you can just use reconciliation to get the same effect

True and it would give everyone a limited 2-4 year time window to buy the machine gun /suppressors of their dreams for the next generation of gun owners. Then when the 20 year olds are 60 plus this same situation might happen again. Or never again in our life times. better cash down or go into debt for what you want is all I have to say. Becuase it will out value the debt or interest accumulated on it.
>>
>>32022215
or you could use reconciliation, which only requires 51 votes, since all we're doing is cutting a tax :^)

Based on the current wording of the HPA, would it override current silencer bans in cuck states?
>>
>>32022369
no, that's what SCOTUS is for.
>>
>>32022177
Doesn't the NRA support progun politicians regardless of party?
>>
>>32022360
The most important thing we can do is to write our representatives about the HPA, preferably around January.
>>
>>32022379
dang
Would it treat silencers as accessories (no bg check or any bullshit) or like firearms (they would need ID and wouldn't sell you one if you came from a cuck state)?

funny thing about FN is I live roughly 30-40 minutes away from their headquarters I am half tempted to take a tour and post pics. Regardless of a change in regualtions will be jumping through hopps for a GA M4 SD-K for my tavor. 29.65" overall length and shorter then a fully collapsed 14.5 inch M4.With this setup Looking at a 16.5 inch barrel WITH a supressor.
>>

current wording is to make them Title I firearms, but that was to make it so it wouldn't be a poison pill if it were amended onto bipartisan legislation last year.

Newer versions could just strike them from Title II entirely with no additions to Title I since we now have unified GOP government.
>>
>>32022495
Man, Obama is really paying off!
>>
>>32022385
yes.

but it costs about 100,000,000 dollars for a senator to get reelected.
>>
So does the op process make this unfillibusterable?
>>
>>32022369
10th Amendment is the argue spot, but if SCOTUS tells them to eat a nigger dick, they get chompin
>>
>>32022822
14th amendment though.

it is a really tricky issue.

10th amendment says the states get what isn't in the constitution specifically for the feds or the people.

14th amendment basically says "fuck your 10th amendment"
>>
>>32022809
because the NFA is technically a tax, and you can use a procedure called Reconciliation to ram through changes to tax policy thanks to the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974, which allows 1 bill per year on revenue, 1 bill per year on spending and 1 bill per year on the debt to be rammed through with only 51 votes needed to end debate, and thus bypass a filibuster.

We get the GOP to put the HFA as part of it's once per year ram through bill on taxes in 2017, and bingo, filibuster-proof passage.
>>
>>32023274
And this also makes the hearing protection act filibuster proof as well?

When do we write our reps?
>>
>>32023567
1) yes, if it's incorporated as part of the revenue reconciliation bill for next year.

2) now.
