Are there any situations where having a gun in each hand would be advantageous compared to using a single gun with both hands?
Like pistols/machine pistols/anything else you could 1 hand

Unless literally the only thing needed is massive amounts of lead downrange in a very vague direction, e.g at a massive horde of zombies, then no.
there was a guy pearce movie that did dual wielding well, i.e he had no extra mags and used one pistol at a time in order to conserve ammo

Damn thumbnail gremlins...
what if you are house clearing alone and walk through a door. How could one gun be better than having two guns to point in both directions?

This. Short barreled bullet hose PDWs designed to clear rooms by sheer volume of fire, but even then it's a stretch.

You can only look one direction. How do you plan on hitting something you can't see? If you're going to blind fire, just do it through the interior wall.

Trying to move two rifles that don't have slings to the other side of a room.
Work for a retail chain. One of our stores was robbed by a couple of niggers the other day, one of them was dual wielding. At 1 point, they gave him money or something and he had that in 1 hand and his 2 guns in the other.
