Making a shotgun into an SBS requires legal bullshit, unless if it's sold factory new as a short shotty. I've seen short shotguns that are under the SBS limit get sold along with all the other long guns.
So tell me, /k/, are they worth it and where I can get one?
>>32014947
why don't short barreled shotguns without stocks count as pistols?
>>32014957
Because you can't have a pistol over .50
>>32014947
It might not be a SBS, but it's still an AOW
but that's only a $5 tax stamp

Why the fuck are firearms laws so goddamn hard to interpret? It started off so simple.
>The right of the people to keep and bear arms, and to form a militia, shall not be infringed.
How did we go so wrong? Also, can I buy a receiver if I'm under 21? I have no problem finishing an 80%, but goddamn I cannot find an answer to this. As far as I can tell it's illegal because it falls into some bullshit category, but I haven't been able to find a definitive yes/no answer.

$5 to make or $5 to transfer?
Trick question!
Still a 6-9 month wait list for form processing.

To keep it thread related, I shot a totally illegal sawn of single barrel 16g my uncle made and it was fun as fuck. I can't really think of any reason to buy one besides fun, so there it is.

I walk around with machine guns every day

what
no

you are both literally retarded this is less than 20 seconds on google

$200 to make and $5 to transfer. Every hillbilly and nigger thinks it's $5 to make and I have no idea where this shit meme started but it gives me Forest Whitaker eye.
Is there anything stopping manufactures from making rifled 12g pistols? It seems like you could dodge a lot of paper work that way.
>>32015062
fucking ATF every time
>>32015493
What part of can't be over .50" did you not understand?
You can do it with a variance but they probably won't grant one for just a 12ga. It would have to be some super special round like .700 nitro.
>>32014957
Depending on exact length they are either AOWs or non-NFA firearms. Because laws.
>>32014957
Because the Emperor hasn't repealed the NFA yet.
The only "loophole" around SBS/SBR laws is the 26+"-overall "firearm". A gun, over 26" in total, with no stock, isn't a handgun or a long gun, and doesn't have a barrel length or front grip requirement.
With that, you can get some AR pistols with a long enough buffer tube and a front grip, and a Mossberg 14" with Shockwave birdshead grip.
