What was your first gun? Not a gun that was given to you, but the first gun you spend your money on. Did you keep it? Sell it?
>>
>>32007015
Mosin Nagant 91/30 and I still have it.
The barrel is shot out though (was like that when I got it and I didn't know better). I picked up a replacement barrel for it and I intend to get the barrels swapped.
>>
Very first gun that I "bought" was a Rossi ranch hand in .357
I was like 12 at the time and my dad bought it for me when he bought one for himself.
They had consecutive serial numbers, which was pretty cool.

Stag arms left a4.

Yes.

Love it.
>>

K31. Amazing rifle still, I fall in love again every time I go to the range and knock out 1 MOA groups barely trying.
>>
>>32007065
Should have also mentioned that when I say he bought it for me, I had saved up the money from chores and shit to give it to him so he could buy it for me when he got one.
>>
>>32007015
S&W 686+
It's a fun range toy. Second gun was a Ruger SR40c, as CC was about to be a thing in IL. Latest gun was my first rifle, my yugo SKS.

Marlin 1894 in .44mag. Love it, but due to retarded range policies I don't shoot it as much as I'd like to.

Browning B525
Would never sell it.

First handgun: Glock 19
First rifle: 8mm Mauser Tikka T3
First semi auto: Haenel CR223 (normal AR with piston)
Wouldnt sell any. Why would I?
>>
CZ 452 in .22LR. I still have it.
>>
>>32007015
Remington 870. Still have it and have made several upgrades. Magpul furniture, extended tube (+2), and new magazine tube follower. Absolutely love it.
>>
First self purchased: Glock 20

haven't sold it but I'm seriously thinking about it so I can consolidate pistol calibers down to Walmart available calibers and also buy a single stack carry gun. I like shooting it but don't reload and haven't shot it in several years due to ammo availability (have to order online or get rekt by fuddstore pricing)/cost.

What do you all think? Keep or sell

Like many, my first gun that I personally bought was a Mosin. 1932 Izhvesk M91/30, hexadecimal receiver, refurbished, Century import etc. that I bought for $130 at a Dunham's sporting goods. Pretty average, but years later I still have it and it still outshoots rifles several times its value.

I've got a whole arsenal of (mostly milsurp) rifles now, but I'll still never sell that Mosin. If I ever have a kid it will eventually go to him, and I'll make sure he respects it as much as I did.
>>
Everyone in this thread
>too poor to afford a real gun
>somehow can afford both a computer and internet
You people are a disgrace
Go get real jobs
>>
First gun was a Marlin 980S. It's super simple since it's bolt action .22LR that takes the standard Marlin rimfire magazines, but it gets the job done and is fairly accurate now that I threw a cheap scope on it.

I should shoot it more once the new range I just bought a membership at opens up and I can afford to go more than an hour a month. I've neglected her over the years.
>>

This isn't asking what our arsenal is. Most people get something cheap and easy as their first gun.

Star H Pistol 22LR with fake mother of pearl Grips. bought it for like $75.00 back in 1991 loaded it with CCI mini mags and could empty the 10 round mag in about 2.5 seconds LOL. I could carry this pistol in my shirt pocket pants anywhere. always had it with me. until i got a Colt 1911 and then a Glock 21.

I inherited several guns from my grandfather (lets call it 10) when I was 21. I kept these weapons, without purchasing more for 20 years. I recently inherited several more (a lot) from my father and only this year purchased 3 guns. The first time in my 42 years of life that I purchased guns, despite having a fucking arsenal at home.

I purchased an AR platform weapon, and 2 Kimbers, chambered in .380 and 45 ACP. I carry the .380 every day. I gave my old AMT .380 that I had inherited from my grandfather to my sister, as she needed a small gun to carry, and since I knew the AMT had been well maintained, I gave it to her and bought myself the Kimber.

My first and only ever purchase was a Ruger 10/22 in stainless/gray laminate. I bought it off of a buddy who was hard up for cash way back in August of 1997. I gave him $50 for it. I still and always will have it. I have modified the bolt hold-open, replaced the bolt stop with nylon and done a bit of polishing. Sweet little gun.
>>
A 50th anniversary 10/22 that I paid slightly too much for from my LGS. I love it though, still have it.
>>

>>
>>32007015
first gun i bought with my own money was a 92fs cause it looks cool it movies.
unfortunately my dad gave me a glock when i turned 18 which i shot regularly. thought the 92 was crap in comparison. worse trigger held less rounds and was unnecessarily bulky. ended up selling it at a loss a year later.
>>
Some completely bubba'd brazilian Mauser

It had offset scope rings and the scope didn't allow for the bolt to completely work, and it had no iron sights

kicked like a mule, had no real way to aim it, and it cost my dumb ass 200 bucks

but goddamn did I love it. I regret selling it. Second gun was a remington 870 express

My first gun was .357 magnum smith and wesson model 19 my grandpa gave me when I was 16.

I gave it to my mom when I moved out because she couldn't find 15 minutes to learn how to use the glock I bought her
>>
Full size m&p 9mm. I really wanted to into guns, did absolutely zero research, and was nervous as fuck handling and buying. Still have it only thing i don't like is trigger is only passable and the slide lock is a weak piece of shit that releases for anything more than a slight breeze.
>>
My first gun was a total mismatch SMLE with a bayonet, a dozen or so original stripper clips, and 200 rounds of Greek .303 all for $100.

I ended up selling just the rifle and clips for $400 and the bayonet for another $100. I don't necessarily regret it because it was a total mismatch; if it had been matching I'd have kept it but I don't need multiple Enfields when I already have a nice matching example.
