I know we have at least 3 of these threads a day, but I'm a Brit, aged 23 and getting to that "if you don't do it now you'll regret it forever" stage.
What advice would you give me?

Do it now, otherwise you may not be able to do it later.
I had a friend who was same position but also wanted to do school. I told her, there is no time limit that prevents you from earning an education, there is one for joining the military.

In the process of joining myself, was at selection on Thursday. Best advice is just do it, mostly online quite a straightforward process. Just make sure your run time is really low and you know EVERYTHING about the regiment and your job choice

How did it go

Do not disregard the reserves, you can get a taste of the military life without committing yourself for 4 years.

I did 4 active duty US Marine then got out and am doing active reserves while going to school. Kind of fun to go do innawoods shit once a month even if you do have to deal with Marine Corps bull shit a bit.

Try different websites for advice. Plenty of ex and current serving members on these who will give you solid advice, but >>31985471 is a good idea given the big push for reservists going on.

With new leadership like Trump and Brexit, enlisting has never been more appealing.
At least you won't be fighting wars for Israel or corporations.

>You'll never fight wars in the middle east or conflicts with economic benefit anymore
Don't be stupid
