Why not carry a crowbar and/or bolt cutters, then? Surely that would be easier than making thermite compound (which you eventually have to replenish), carrying it around in sealed containers, and carrying a blowtorch hot enough to light it (which also will need re-gassing every so often).

Then you have to figure out how to keep the thermite in place on whatever object you're trying to melt. Shit's just not practical.
>>
>>31994282

They're various ways of triggering an IED or alarm - the door pushes two nail together once it's moved far enough, or the door handle contacts a nail in one of them - it completes the circuit and kaboom happens.
>>
>>31988426
Sabotaging equipment.
With a little thermite you can put tanks, artillery, trucks, and many other large and expensive things out of use.
Hit for the more sensitive components- some thermite in the barrel will render the whole thing a total loss, damaging engines is fairly easy, and so forth.

>>31991889
It's just that I'm not going to bother remembering it, I probably don't have any pieces of cloth at the proper size to do it with, and in order to use one of those methods to carry something then I'd probably have to go out of my way to NOT just use my backpack or a shopping bag which would be easier. That's why I say it's a shame I'll likely never use any of those methods.

A. I'd have to put actual effort into memorizing how to do it
B. I'd have to remember which methods are for which kinds of items
C. I'd have to go out of my way not to simply use a backpack/bag

I'm guessing that this towel thing is something primarily used in Japan back in perhaps the 19th century or maybe as recent as the 1950s-60s, and earlier. In recent decades, I imagine backpacks and shopping bags have made that interesting style of cloth-carrying to be unnecessary and overly fancy. Something you'd have to go out of your way to memorize and put into practice.

youre right thermite is pretty limited in its uses but its relatively simple to make so its been posted often enough to make it a meme by now.
Its biggest application is fucking up equipment. .mil uses it to destroy stuff they dont want to fall into enemy hands (high tech comms and other top secrect spoopy shit comes to mind). anti-gov types could potentially use it to disable vehicles, power grids, and any other big metal thing they dont want big bad government making use of.
as a side note you dont have to bring a big torch to light the shit, you can use a piece of magnesium ribbon as a fuse which can be ignited much more easily (match, standard lighter, etc)

Do you consider personnel to be "equipment"?
>>
>>31996478
Only real issue would be in ejection, I think. Also, of course, non-existent accuracy. Have a pocket knife or really thin stick handy, and be fucking close to whatever the target is. Ultimately though, if said target is any sort of real threat at all, not to mention pumped with adrenaline and/or drugs, I don't think a .22lr from a short pistol-length barrel is going to do much unless it hits the brain, jaw, neck, heart/lungs area, or otherwise a major vein. Yeah I know, .22lr is still very much lethal, but if some people have managed to take over half a dozen 9mm without being killed, or hit with several .22lr without dropping, (like that one lawyer who tried to hide behind a small tree while a guy with a .22 pistol seemed to shoot him several times before just walking away and the lawyer left being all 'wtf was that?') not to mention the dude who shot himself in the leg with his M1911 and didn't fall down... well... one little .22lr cartridge with a fucklong reload time might not be enough to defend your life.

Still, as your pic says, it's pretty fuckin' good, and better than a pointy stick, though I'd still want a pointy stick (or knife) handy because I don't thing one poorly placed .22lr from a pistol length barrel is going to do much. Chances are, yeah, from THAT thing, it's not going to be a well placed shot unless he's got a horse shoe up his ass.

I doubt Trump would do anything personally, however, at a minimum we can expect him to appoint a conservative court justice, which would be more inclined to rule favorably in Hollis vs Lynch.

newfag to radios here
can a commsfag explain radios to me?

why does the freq have to be 151.820 (like the pic says)?

can't i choose my own freq and talk with my friend as long as our freq's are the same?

Also can you prevent someone else from spying on your radio freq?
>>
>>31996553
Depends who you're asking for that question, but you can't steal a radio of you can't come within 20 feet of it
>>
>>31998487
Doesn't matter just keep it in HF and have it set the same with your buddy. You can also receive VHF on those

You'd need an encrypted system which is expensive or you could have a set frequency schedule that's random and changes throughout the day. That'd throw a wrench in any civilian efforts of trying to track you down. Will only cover your comms though.

I hate how hot the idea is of having a secret sex slave in a secret basement home. The incest also adds to how hot it is. If he hadn't have been found out, he might have even started raping his children/grandchildren. Then imagine if he died without having ever told the secret; could they get people's attention before starving to death? Would they ever find out where the smell was coming from? Imagine if Fritzl's wife would have moved away, to a retirement home perhaps, upon Fritzl's passing. Nobody would have ever found them in time... what a fucked up situation, but it's still erotic as Hell.

Hope you get a good one, they're great rifles, even if they're a wee bit on the heavy side. Rock solid bolt, that's for sure, and I prefer cock-on-close as apposed to cock-on-open not to mention the long radius apertures, so I prefer the M1917 over the Kar98k, Carcano, K31, M1903A1, M91/30, etc.

In this scenario you could murder your double since continuity isn't involved.
>>
>>31999917
That's genuinely terrifying. I mean, suicide is one thing, but to actually kill another version of yourself, to see the fear and pain, and also potentially feel fear if the double ended up getting the upper hand, seeing the anger and hatred and betrayal. I don't want to even think on what it would be like to try and kill another version of myself. Also, I wouldn't want to fuck myself either. When it comes to males, I'm only into traps/sissies/twinks. I could never pass off nor want to be a trap/sissy/twink. I'd make an awesome range partner though, and an awesome drinking buddy.

Yeah it's pretty wild in Primer one of the characters actually drugs his original self to take document his whole day and influence it in the way he wants. There's even a hint that his plan is to leave himself locked in the attic and run away with his family to Costa Rica. If you haven't seen the movie I definitely recommend it. It's only 77 minutes

BTW, thanks anon!
>>
>>31988381

I tried to tell some faggots on /out/ that a knife is one of the most important things to have but they'd rather just buy multiple cheap ones or just one cheap one and then lol who cares it GETS THE JOB DONE!!!!!!!!!! until it breaks and they die.

Doesn't really matter none of them ever go camping or will probably ever need a knife for anything other than slicing up stuff in a kitchen because they never go out at all fucking cunts they'll watch all this stupid youtube shit and just live vicariously through them.

AK-47 and AKM are essentially the same firearm except the AK-47 uses a milled receiver and the AKM uses a stamped receiver. There was an experimental AK-47 variant with a stamped receiver but they couldn't get the welds right, so the AKM didn't come about until around 1959 as I recall. Went on to become the most common assault rifle on the planet due to how cheap/easy it was to manufacture, being relatively lightweight (around 6.7-7.5lb unloaded is common for AKM variants, I hear), and of course there's the diehard reliability as well as the accuracy that'll take you to around 300-400m. If the M1 Carbine has been successfully taken to 300yd (270m) then you can expect the AKM to be better.

Probably, but I won't. At least, I don't think I will. We'll see; if all goes well then I could potentially be alive for around 50-60 more years, so there's plenty of opportunity there to off myself sometime. There's chance in everything. Who knows, maybe someday I'll end up in a sexual relationship with a cousin and will one day die of a massive heart attack while fucking her.

http://www.ontheissues.org/celeb/Donald_Trump_Gun_Control.htm

>Buying lots of ammunition & body armor should be a red flag

>For assault weapon ban, waiting period, & background check
>I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record.

>Q: You've talked about wanting to keep the terror watch list but, under current law, individuals on the terror watch list and the no-fly list have been allowed to buy guns and explosives. Are you OK with that?
>TRUMP: We have to have a watch list, but we have the laws already on the books as far as Second Amendment for guns, if people are on a watch list or people are sick, this is already covered in the legislation that we already have,
>>
>>32005700
Let's just hope that this was his attempt to pander to the Libs for more votes... he ought to be too busy building the wall and fixing the Islamic issue anyways, to start passing legislation for gun control.
>>
>>32005700
Now hold your horses:
Q: But, in this case, he was investigated twice by the FBI, was taken off a list. There was no red flag.

TRUMP: Well, there were red flags, I mean, because when he walked in to buy all sorts of ammunition and body armor.

Q: Should somebody who goes in to buy that much ammunition get extra scrutiny?

TRUMP: Well, it depends. But [in this case the report], unfortunately, wasn't followed up.

What's not to get? It's various different methods of locking for manually operated firearms. In fact, they're all single-shot firearms, it would seem. Shoot, reload, shoot, reload, shoot, reload, etc. Also, apparently Ferguson was in the ilpinutatty.

>>
>>31998614
How does radio encryption work anyways? Arent radiowaves just vibrations? How do you encrypt that?
>>
>>31998629
I like explosives and pyrotechnics. Maybe some things that also involve wood?
>>
>>31998821
In the last thread people said its better to use styrofoam with the mixture of gas and alcohol/kerosene. Why do you need to mix it with other flammables anyways?
>>
>>32007273
The short answer is FM (Fucking Magic). But there's several methods. Some radios send digital signals in coded packets, like wifi but much stronger. You can encrypt and decrypt the packets just like you would with a word document on your desktop.

Another method which is kind of what I told you before where you change freqs throughout the day, except you load an algorithm into your radio and it changes your freqs on the fly in very complex and sporadic patterns based on the time of day.

At this point in time, unless you're a professional cryptologist, there's no way you're going to make an algorithm that can't be cracked within the time frame of an afternoon.

But yeah if you're in a SHTF scenario the people you should be worried about won't have the equipment to track you down based on your radio chatter. You're better off making a code book with a friend or sticking to random coverterms.
>>
>>32007273
Oh and radio waves aren't vibrations per se. They're radiational energy waves.
>>
>>31998879
Where do the air vents go? How do you hide those?
>>
>>32007265
The radio is sound and cheap, decent for any regular Joe out hunting or deep in a hike. If you're out with a buddy it'll keep you in touch and you could easily call a Ranger Station if needed.

To me the real seller is the ability to recieve VHF so I can hear 162.40-55 and get NOAA weather reports.

Yes, you can tune to those freqs. You could also change to whatever frequency you'd like to....say....the police department. Imagine the chaos that'd cause in a shtf situation.
