Mini-14s are legal in cucked form, fire the same round as an AR-15, and are also semi-auto. The fact that they are still legal gets to the heart of how retarded the MA AG is, since the only reason they were ever exempted was as a political BJ to the (now dead) traitor Bill Ruger, who testified against the firearm industry in order to keep his Mini-14 (a gun whose name clearly indicates it's modeled off a military rifle) off the original AWB.

To elaborate on 9mm carbine, OP,
Beretta CX4, Stag Model 9, CMMG MK9 are all legal and readily available.
We of course get Ruger 10-22s, but also S&W 15-22s and Ruger SR22s.
Then you've got lots of bolt action to choose from.
Of course most of the 9mms I mentioned are about as pricey as a Mini 14 so I'd say go with that.

Pretty meh but at least we have castle doctrine, and I can CC.

Single Stack WASR

AR15 80% lower, then pin a 10 round mag in & use it as a break action with clips

moved FCG forward, swapped furniture, changed out gas tube.

doesn't have a beynonet lug, flash suppressor, or bullet guide (thing that's missing so it could be legally imported as it "can't except magazines with a larger capacity then 10 rounds")
owned it legally with only a FID
