I haven't had that issue you are having. I love shooting my RGS, felt recoil isn't so bad after getting used to it. I love the smooth action and the weight is quite light. I love the iron sights one of the best feature. The only issue I have would be the shell casing hitting my receiver and leaving brass marks, but I got some cleaner that removes it so it's not so bad.

It weighs nothing. The buttpad is hard too. I just need to find a slip on recoil reducing pad. Regular #7 1/2 clay loads kick like a motherfucker. I shot some reduced recoil slugs that weren't bad at all. I generally shoot full power loads in .308, .300winmag, .50bmg etc. The KSG took me completely by surprise. That first shot was like going to blow out the candles on your birthday cake and a rattlesnake jumps out and bites you on the face a few times.

I'm still building up my trust in it. I find I fail to rack the action fully at least once in a tube if I don't use a vertical foregrip. That said, it's very well-balanced but the recoil is a bit stout when compared to my other 12ga's. KelTec released an extended recoil pad but I haven't had a chance to shoot it since I installed it. Previously I had a slip-on Limbsaver which worked very well but slips around a bit.

Different person, but the the only issues I have was the folding stock pin for the hinge was walking out, and the sling mount in the back is the worst possible spot to work with the side rail. I made a 550 Loop for sling that works, but otherwise it's a pain to take mounts off the rail

Thank you. I try to have a purpose for each of my guns, currently:

AR - General purpose workhorse rifle, accurate with plentiful and common parts and ammunition. Kills anything here on coastal Texas, two legs or four.

USP 45 Tactical - Functions as both a fighting pistol in the field (see picture) and as my HD weapon, hence the weapon light.

USP 45 Compact - EDC pistol, also my favorite gun ever. Rarely carry it these days, long story.

CZ P01 - Current EDC pistol, one spare mag goes along with it.

Walther PPK .380 - Deep carry pistol, on the rare occasion the P01 or USPc is unsuitably large.

Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1 - Gift from an old veteran and teacher of mine, kept it even since he died.


Ideally I'd like to add a pump 12 gauge, a 20inch AR, a quality HK93 clone, an AK103 clone, and perhaps a CZ SP01 or 85 Combat. On the whole I'm currently satisfied though and am looking more at things like an affordable yet rugged optic for the AR and a light for it.

As for my loadout, please excuse the UCP as it is mostly leftover from my Army service and is slowly being rotated out with better gear.
