Ordering one by telephone sucks.

"Beretta 90-two"
"Oh, the ol' 92?"
"Uh, the new one, the ninety-dash-two?"
"Ah yeah, we got some new 92 ones in with a rail and everything"
>>
>>31976850
I personally prefer the old 92FS's looks, but a Beretta's a Beretta. Hard to really go wrong there.
>>
Worst name
>>
OP here. From what I understood it's just a normal 92 with extra "ergonomics" and a recoil buffer.

Looks better without railz cover
>>31977146
There's a thin grip/backstrap too but I never got one for it
>>
>>31977146
Dovetailed front sight too

Definitely cyberpunk-looking, which really tickles my pickle. Basically, it's just a 92 with a rail and interchangeable grips, right? Otherwise same parts compatibility? If so, I think I might like to buy one before they go out of production.

Personally, I like the look WITH the rail covers.

It looks cool as fuck. If I were to ever get a Beretta, this would be in my top three, right after the M9A3 and the PX4 Storm.

I dont know much about guns as im just getting into the hobby and only own a mp shield 9mm myself but my dad has lots and a really old beretta 92fs from italy with sexy wood handles and a custom rifle like sights and mounted flash light laser combo on the bottom. also some old buffer tube he cant even remember who made it but theres pretty much no recoil. its really sexy and im happy that i will own it someday, hopefully not for some time

that's saying something in the era of the Zipgun (that isn't a zip gun) and the American (which is the name of two different guns at the same company). They could have spelled it out like Five-seven to be really shitty.
>>
>>31977731
more like they made the 92a1 from it
>>
Obsolete since the M9A3 exist.
>>

i was ak9 handler and usually had this out while searching and my rifle in the trucks. the m9 is a good reliable pistol but ive always found the pistol grip to be to thick for a nine.

im actually going to buy one because i have so many mags/pouches/holsters for it left over from the military.

It's the one gun I really really fucking want because those aesthetics are fucking phenomenal, but I'm a poorfag and can't find any below 600. I guess I'll just buy one of those surplus 92S pistols.

It was introduced in 2006 and was not very popular. You can't really find them anymore just cause they made them in limited batches. The Beretta 92A1 is a much better firearm IMO due to the fact that it has everything the 90two offers including the rail while maintaining the classic styling of the 92 series

The M9A3 is far superior. M9 with a polymer frame is a terrible idea.

They're aluminum frames

I have one in .40 and later bought a 9mm barrel so that I can shoot both calibers with the same gun. It's my first firearm. Many of the features introduced in the 90-Two (buffer, captive spring/rod assembly, rail, would eventually find their way in the -A1 models. Even features like the angled safety lever and swappable grip sizes later seen on the M9A3 were first pioneered by the 90-Two. Also, the surface area for gripping the slide is much bigger than the classic 92 style slide.
