As a C308 owner I'd still have to say go with a PTR GI. The C308s are great rifles but for literally a couple hundred extra you get more standardized parts and a far superior lower. I've been actually cruising to find a way to trade towards a PTR soon, I really want the paddle release.

Mine was fairly accurate, and had no reliability issues. The thing ate cheap tula .308 steal case like a champ. Eventually I sold it to buy a Vepr though.
