Just found out my austrian pea dot camo jacket is dated 1959, just had to double check for the stamp, thanks for the help Trench!

That's the hope. It would have to be a federal law though, and that will take time.
Holy fuck i found an M50 field jacket for 45$

Over and over.
>>31965330
Nice shine on those boots
>>31965354
Ta, they're my job interview boots. Not that anyone even notices shined shoes any more, my manager at work wears faux leather shoes and it annoys the shit out of me. You're a grown man in charge of people, smarted yourself up.

Damn, nice. And it fits!

Uh, let me try that one again.
Anyone know where I can get repro Rhodie camo?
>>31967357
EDF stuff doesn't get surplussed, so there's no stores that sell it. You might want to try Depoo Turg (a marketplace next to the town's largest train station) - the shady-ass antique stores there are sure to have some Estonian kit among their mountains of Soviet shit.
Also, an outdoor/hunting goods store named Gladius sometimes stocks gucci stuff in Estonian camo.
Finally got tracking for pic related. It was in NY two days ago.
>>31968165
>his hasn't already arrived
sucks to be you senpai.
>buy m65 off ebay
>pictures and description both check out, seller claims it's an alpha

>>31962743
How much would that German camo cost you?
>>31969221
It's technically West German.
>>31969306
I know, I also know they were often used by border guards. I just wanted to know a reasonable price to pay for a jacket so as not to get ripped off.
After looking into it a bit, I'm 78% sure this is actually a T/78 jacket, not M/84

What's the difference?

>>31969695
Interesting. Did yours have a tag?
That's pretty awesome.
>>31969820

>>31969379
$100
Man, I should have grabbed a Trump hat while they were reasonably affordable. Now prices have gone through the feckin' roof.
t. Estonianon
>>31970008
I could mail ya one if you think it would be cheaper. They are $25 on Trump's website.
>>31970008
Are you the tailor?
>>31969379
Yeah, I paid $100 for the set, but don't get your hopes up to get a price like thato.
The most common version of the field jackets usually sell for anywhere from $35-70 depending on size and condition, and the pants sell starting at just about $110
Should I cop this as a fall/winter jacket? It's only $20.
>>31971141
Yes, but make sure you get the liner.
Varusteleka has free shipping until the 13th.
Get you some shit.
>>31971642
Shit.. I just bought a bunch of shit last week!
>>31971141
>>31971412
It's also fine as an outer shell with a sweater or two underneath.
Ordered a BDU Italian Vegetato set. is there any way to wear the pants in public without looking like an autist?
>>31972013
No. No there isn't.
#GodEmperorTrump
>>31972080
That's what I thought. They'll be regulated to innawoods use.
>>31972086
The only surp pants that can be worn in public are OD green or M81 woodland. The M81 can only be worn if local hunting seasons are in.
>>31971141
Is this acceptable for a civilian to wear in public? I'm on a college campus. I don't want to look ridiculous or anything.
>>31972309
Yes, flecktarn is really common in public, especially for younger people, Everyone loves the color pattern, since it doesn't really look like M81 Woodland (What most people think when they hear "camo")
>>31972309
flecktarn is /fa/
>>31972013
Any pants are okay. It's jackets that can make you look autistic.
>>31972341
really? how are jackets autistic?
Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but figure is worth a shot. Big Flora/VSR/TTsKO fan & I've been searching for Ukrainian "berkut"/police variant TTsKO for a while, recently found this on ebay. Is this legit? Seller is Ukrainian, and I'm thinking unissued or civilian made equivalent to issue quality.
>>31973490
As far as I know there are no commercial copies of the MVS TTsKO.
>>31973663
So would it be worth a shot? Or is this something to be steered very clear of?
>>31973691
If it's affordable and you want it, get it.
>>31973717
Danke
I just picked up a pair of Gorka 4s.
Are there any other really comfortable Gorka style pants that I can pick up for cheap, ie, elastic waist, suspenders, open crotch?
Another question on old field jackets (this is gonna sound stupid) but for the M50 i'm expecting, should I put it in the washer/dryer? or handwash it like my M43?
>>31974049
Handwash for sure.
>>31974093
Alright thanks dude! Should be here in less than a week, which is pretty fast despite coming from hawaii
>>31971642
Do I have to use some special code or is it country specific? I live in sweden and I still see a shipping cost

It's the one year anniversary of the karst parkas.

>>31973663

>>31975159

>>31975186
There's commercial stuff of everything.
>>31975189
>There's commercial stuff of everything.
Patently false.
>>31975192
Nearly everything, I can almost guarantee some chinese factory has made shitty knockoffs of MVS TTsKO since people love blue camo
>>31975199
Not a chance.
>>31975203
Alright homie, what ever you say.
>>31975207
If you knew anything about industry or basic economics, it would be obvious that no one is going to replicate such a pattern, unless the pattern itself originates in Asia, since Ukraine is Somalia-tier and rarely manufactures anything themselves.
>>31975226

>>31975509

>>31975514

Or this one?
>>31975509
man you look like a tosser
>>31975588

>>31975324
The cap pattern is known as "Mabuta". Er, well, it was developed as part of the Mabuta uniform that was complementary to the afghankha uniform, so you'll see it referred to as an "Afghanka cap" as well. The same pattern for that hat was used to produce caps in the TTsKO pattern camo, and later in the russian army VSR pattern and Flora pattern. A lot of these camo patterns show up anachronistically in MGSV like on that hat, which looks to be in KLMK pattern. (KLMK was used in Afghanistan but really only on over suit garments)

I'd like to see how it is put together

>>31975878
So damn ugly
>>31975915
Not $400.
>>31975878
I know he made the hat himself, but now that I think about it I know he also made the schematic himself.
>>31975903
To clarify for people who aren't the shitposter, the MKIV was just the MKIII with rivets instead of nut and bolt fittings, and the MKV is the MKIV with a foam liner.
>>31975929
3 is not equal to 5.
That fact doesn't change no matter how much sand you want to throw in others' eyes.
>>31975929
Maybe people woukd hate you fags less if you faggots had a little integrity and were able to admit you were wrong.
Just a thought.

But it's more like MkIIIA2 than MKV

What year and size is it? If you're looking to make some money I've always got an eye out for good M89.
>>31976189
I should follow up with the fact that ALL official issue berkut items are stamped in the same fashion that normal uniforms are stamped, with information regarding factory of manufacture, date (Commonly just the year) of manufacture, and size, in the traditional russian size scale.
I have some pictures of an original berkut blue ttsko winter jacket saved on my desktop, I'll post what the markings look like when I can.

>>31976473
I don't have a pic of the bandana, it might not be in the TAZ 90 pattern I forgot to ask. Paid about $120 for all of it. Guy still has pants and an unbadged shirt.
>>31976455
Most obviously - the buttons. Standard production. T/78 uniforms had flat dish green buttons. The colours are also not like the more green-brown on T/78.
It's a 1990s made M/84, Danish shoulder crest indicates it's pre-2000, when they went to national flags.
>>31976473
>>31976578
I've seen the bandanas before, just never thought much of them. Didn't realize they were official issue?
They aren't marked with anything as far as I can tell.
Does anyone have the sympatex flecktarn parka? Just saw it on KS, was thinking about picking it up.

There's a really nice pair of very early kiwi BRIGHT LIME green dpm trousers up, but with shipping they want like 70 bucks. Fucking even brighter green than those comercial dragon-something sets of "tropical" dpm.
The price isn't even what I hate, I hate the fact that they don't know what it is, and still ask 70, knowing damn well that some fuck will happily pay that for fashion.

Is any of you lot schooled on the sizing of ABL (Belgian) parkas? The olive ones (that are similar to the bundeswehr parka) are sized in a code made up of a letter and a number, for instance A1, B3 etc...
How does that code translate? The internet isn't giving me anything but I've seen a tage saying 3B is equal to 7080/9505, so that makes is suitabe for a person of 170 to 180cm in height and with a chest circumference of 95 tot 105 cm right?
>>31982603
Those boots didn't come into existence till the early 2000's and that knee pad isn't 80's either.
At least you got the correct LBV with the vertical pouches, circa 1988. Your canteens should have the M1 cap for use with the protective mask.

>>31989263
I've never liked them personally, I just wear surplus jungle boots or vans.
>>31989312
Do you have a doc marten outlet store near you and is it cheaper there? I've got th3 Danner outlet store near by and it's way cheaper than anywhere else
>>31989339
Probably one in the city center, I don;t imagine it being cheaper though.

What kind of jacket is that? it looks cozy as all hell.
What would be considered the single rarest camouflage you can buy?
>>31989748
The experimental US army camouflage named Urban track is my guess, though it's probably a foreign camouflage from a short lived government.
>>31989782
I'd say more so desert brush, from the same trial and it was the winner
>>31989782
anything you've seen for sale, isn't the rarest. there's always another one to take its place.
>>31989814
I dont even know if theres any over all brush in the wild yet.
>>31989814
I still don't understand how the hell we ended up with UCP. Desert brush was a good camo, same with scorpion, and now 12 years later with billions of dollars down the drain we are finally switching. Wtf.
>>31989748
Hard to say. There's probably quite a few "sole surviving" examples of patterns but you'd have to find them.
Pic related, nobody in the collecting world owns one of these, but there could be some old African wearing the last surviving one as a work jacket who'd let you have it for $1, but you'd have to find him.
Pic related is my great great great grandfather. Can anyone identify his uniform?
>>31989960
US M1912 cotton summer weight uniform with the M1912 campaign hat. From the collar brass I can see he was in artillery, battery F.
>>31989982
Damn, that was fast. /k/ delivrars at warp speed these days.

>>31990049
God I bet that smells delicious
>>31989842
Everyone I've talked to said all other uniforms were destroyed in testing, or thrown away.
The only reason urban tracks is out there is because it was the only pattern to make it past initial testing, which meant a small run of uniforms were made, rather than just one or two, like all the other patterns.

What Camo is this?

WHAT BOOTS ARE THESE REEEEE
>>31990458

Yes it smells glorious

3 different patterns.
The vest and trousers are canadian CADPAT, the shirt is Finnish m62, and his helmet cover is British MTP.
>>31991069
In your opinion, would you rather have German Flectarn or canadian CADPAT?
>>31991229
It depends on your environment, my dude. Personally, flecktarn works better in my area than cadpat for most of the year, but that's just me.
If you tell us where you're at, or post a pic of where you're planning on using it, we can help you find something good.
Keep in mind, flecktarn is MUCH easier to find, and MUCH cheaper than cadpat, but there are plenty of other good, common options that would work just as well.
Pic related, my environment.
>>31991471
Northern Kentucky
Rolling Hills, vast forest, and lots of farmland.
Will be using it in a forested area very similar to pic related
>>31991581
CADPAT, flecktarn, or danish m/84 (if you can find it) would work very well there.
Remember, even though flecktarn isn't a "green" camouflage, it matches the colors of the underbrush, trees, and farmland. (Assuming they're not growing neon-green crops)

Bushcraft anorak made from old wool blankets by some polaks.
Have the French or Italians got any noteworthy surp?
>>31995130
I always liked all of the Italian San Marco variants, and the Spanish have some neato patterns, but I don't really like their modern stuff.
Older Italian and Spanish stuff is just kind of goofy, but it's a nice goofy, I think you'd like them.
The italian OD stuff is the same quality as French F2 kit.
>>31995163
The ones that look like spray paint? I do kinda like it. Not sure on the quality though.
>>31995130
Never really cared for Italian stuff. Like Spook said the San Marco is nice, but their OD stuff is definitely not as good as the French stuff, it's sloppily sewed and cut.
My coat has missing buttons, torn hanger, scuffs, worn out elastic, and the sleeve was almost pulled off, which isn't an isolated issue with mine, I've seen other's that also have had this happen.
Same reason you never see the trousers to these uniforms, they got trashed.
French on the other hand I have some strange inclination towards, particularly Algerian/Indochina-era.
>>31989367
ive been meaning to ask but forgot
where the heck does one cop a wool boonie lad
>>31995130
French milsurp pre-2008 is cold war tier. F1 and F2 is kinda ugly, and the cuts aren't great. The modern Felin stuff is easily found online, much more practical, and the cuts are better.
That being said, if you like older gear, the F2 jacket is an excellent value, and the F2 musette is great. The aluminum canteen with cup is heavy, but very rugged.

Anyone know who made the T-MOUT urban woodland bdu's? I can find info easy on t-pattern kit, but I can't find diddly squat concerning the woodland pattern.
Does Atlanco sound familiar?

Wat?
My Varan gorka came in today.
(m-maybe I can get in on the thread cover photo now)

Tag look remotely like this?
>>32000128
Never seen it before,. Looks like tru spec
>>32000193
>>32000200
Lol, didn't realize. Atlanco IS tru-spec. They changed their name in the late 80's, right around the time of operation urban warrior.
I don't know how to read stock numbers, or if they contain the date of manufacture, but it's is.

Pretty much my collection sadly.. Not including Australia's old navy uniforms.
>>31983440
Just message the ebay seller I told you about who lives in Trebinje. He probably has more than one set.
Semi-related here's a field jacket made by the Soviets for their Jugoslav contingent I got from someone who lives in Russia. He found it in the store of an old film studio. It's more or less a 1:1 copy of a Royal Jugoslav jacket, albeit made from WW2 era Soviet wool.
