i've never known veterans day sales to be a thing regarding guns or ammo. you might get a free meal at applebees or a free hour at an indoor range or something but honestly you look like a dick if you go out of your way to get free shit

PSA had $7 aluminum usgi Mags. They're usually $8 or $9 so it's a decent deal.
