Hundreds or thousands of planes made, and only a few dozen museums with space for them, not to mention the funds to transport them there and maintain them in a presentable state. Also, my dad knows a guy who owns an aviation scrapyard with a ton of military stuff, I've always wanted to go out there. I have an old Martin-Baker ejection seat bucket that came from there. The same dude also has a working Cobra and rents it out for movie/TV filming.

Reminds me of a neighbor who bought a Draken. Put it on his yard and didn't take care of it. It just rusted away. There was a birdsnest in the rear landing gear, and the nosecone was removed along with bits of the wings.
I think he sold it for scrap after awhile. Sad. Draken is one of my favorite planes.
