How long will it be before prices drop again?

Few months after Trump takes office.

I think about a month after his first Supreme Court nomination is confirmed.
ammo prices will drop a bit once everyone restocks, guns will probably drop in price after trump takes office

I'm going to laugh if Garland is still his first nominee.
How does having Trump in office going to lower prices? I can understand ammo prices since people went into panic buy mode, but over a year long period, prices should average out from June '16 - June '17 right?
But shouldn't a Mossberg 500 price be relatively stable, despite who is in office?

There have been people buying constantly in anticipation of a Hillary win that never occurred. In order to keep up with that demand most manufacturers have been running at or over max capacity. Now that Trump is the Pres-elect, many of those panic buyers will stop buying. Many will start to sell off their stocks to recoup losses. The smart ones will do this before the market levels back out (so asap).
The real question is how much of the market was people stocking up and how much is truly increased demand because of new shooters. As manufacturers figure what the market really is they will adjust their output to match.
As for final prices, my guess it will balance out to be halfway between the current prices and pre sandy hook prices.

retail prices didn't hike up this election cycle. private sale prices were through the roof, but nobody was buying because we all knew not to get burned buying stupid shit at panic prices. prices wont likely go down, but they won't skyrocket either, and if trump cuts deals to import foreign guns and ammo again, THEN we may see a price drop as the supply increases.
So is Trump going to Tariff certain countries (maybe not Russia).
