>>31950095
They'll drop over time, but they'll never drop down to pre-Sandy Hook prices ever again.
>>31950095
no. they stay the same now. Prices will never drop. Inflation and political bullshit all cause little permanent rises.
>>31950095
Next year they'll go down. AR stuff is coming down now.

Are you the anon who bought the Colt Sporter with the cucked FSB? How's that going for you if so?
Had faith the whole time famalamadingdong. Did enjoy the sales online today. Picked up 4 mags

>>31950095
AR prices never really went up. Ammo prices rose a bit. I think by January we will see things come down a bit, but never to pre sandy levels.

Friendly reminder that this is why no one here should EVER buy from CtD. They're gougers to the extreme, trying to make a quick buck off of anyone they can. These should be posted daily on their FB and Twitter pages to remind everyone who they are. They aren't looking out for the gun owning community, they're trying to line their pockets.
Now, someone might say "muh capitalism" or "muh supply and demand". But that's still not an acceptable reason to gouge this badly. Maybe a 50% markup is understandable, but these prices are insane. It's not a stock thing, it's a money hungry move that should have resulted in a lot more fallout. I think in our collective relief from no new bans, we overlooked this little tidbit, but that needs to end now. CtD is a shit company and they don't give a damn about our rights or trying to protect them. They want to squeeze every last penny they can out of you before closing up shop in the event of new, major gun legislation.
>>31946161
It still feels unreal to me. I wanted him to win, but to see it posted online and talked about, it just feels like a dream. I've never felt so optimistic about the future. Is this how nigs felt in 2008? I feel fucking alive for the first time in a decade.
I was really worried I'd never get an AK since I decided to buy an ar first, but now maybe, just maybe, I will soon be able to have a Russian one.
>>31944780
I thought Hillary was going to win so I panicked and went and bought my first gun a M&P 9mm shield. To be completely honest I’m kind of happy that the election craze gave the motivation to finally go out and buy it but I'm not looking forward to a slightly embarrassing day at the range learning how to shoot. I spent 10 minutes when I got home looking for the thumb safety just to find out it doesn't have one. I have a ton to learn!
>>31953936
Read some manuals and watch some youtube videos for how to operate that gun. Become familiar with taking it apart and putting it back together too.
And don't worry about embarrassing yourself at the range. Most people in this hobby are happy to help one another out, especially if you're new. If anything, you're gonna get annoyed by everyone offering you different tips.
>>31954014
After the thumb safety mishap I read the manual, tomorrow I'll practice taking it apart and putting it back together!
Question, is it normal for it to be super tough to get the ammo in the mags at first?
I started watching Hickok's videos but then got distracted by all his cool fire arms!
>>31944780
Not a panic buy, but a impose buy during a mini-panic.

>>31954223

It'll make your thumbs sore after doing it for a while and the springs inside will loosen up a bit.

>>31944780
I bout 1500 rounds of 7.62x39
I'm pretty decently stocked up on everything else.
>>31954365
Have you shot it yet? I passed on one for 950 the other day. Honestly felt too light in my hands and was worried about recoil.
>>31954365
is that 44mag? shit that looks awesome
Did anyone make any sales and feel they made out like a merchant?
sold an AWB cuckpliant olyarms A2 for 1100
bunch of old usgi mags for 20ea
I normally hate selling guns but I already had another AR and have a kid coming.
>>31956025
No, I have not shot it yet. I have shot the 2" 357mag 360PD before & I thought the recoil was very mild.
>>31956043
Yes it's the 44mag.
>>31956060
holy shit that was merchant of you
>>31956070
I've got a mod29 and a Dan Wesson .44 and have shot smaller .44s but never something that light and just worry that it'd require me to load light to get any enjoyment passed a few cylinders.
>>31956077
I went to a gun show over the weekend and walked around with it over my shoulder, third guy that approached me about it offered me 1100 right off the bat. I didn't feel as bad though cause the dude was saying shit like "just like I used in duh core" and "was over there for three long years, carried the same one urry whur urry day" was trying to pass himself off as a Marine when he wasn't. Didn't have a military ID or veteran on his DL. I mentioned that I had 15 GI mags and he said he'd take them for 20 a piece because "you cant use them shitty plastic mags in da core".
Please don't meme me, but I got my first paycheck and want to buy my first handgun with it. Should I start with something like a P220 or USP .45 or get something cheaper in a smaller caliber?
I have an $800 budget and am in Fresno county, for what it's worth.
>>31956236
9mm, cost of ammo is going to outstrip the cost of the gun pretty fast, and you want to be shooting a lot.
Most important question is what you want to use it for, and how big your hands are (don't lie to me boi)
An estimation is fine, small, med, large, xboxhueg
>>31956250
Got it, any recommendations? A lot of people are pointing me to the Beretta 92FS but I wouldn't know what to use as a starting point of comparison.
I'll primarily be using it for target practice at the range, but would like to have something that's also reliable in case of home defense. I've also thought about getting a CCW but it's not a priority.
tbqh I'm not a big guy, so medium, medium-small.
>>31956271
92FS is pretty great, the grip definitely on the large side which is the main reason I like it. Tons of aftermarket if you want it, but its awesome out of the box. The only negative (imo) is that it has a slide mounted safety/decocker, although the decocker aspect is more of a benefit if you're just punching paper.
Second favorite 9mm handgun I've ever shot is CZ-75B, but they make CZs in all shapes and sizes so you can browse, IWI Jericho is definitely something to look at if you like anime (Cowboy Bebop)
I hate Glocks, their only real selling point is pointless if you have enough braincells to operate a safety, and they definitely shoot worse out of the box than a 92fs
also polymer is cancer, especially in a range gun.
There are a bunch of milsurp options if you want to buy a piece of history, but expect it to be a piece of shit in at least a couple aspects.
P226 was okay, I believe it has a lower bore axis than the beretta but >polymer so it felt pretty similar recoil wise. Overall 6/10 would at least fingerfuck.
Buy a fullsize for paper punching, but don't expect to ever be able to conceal it no matter what the internet tells you.
1911s are retarded, they might have been dope over a century ago but firearms have advanced since then.
Thats an overview of most of my handgun experience, I can get into more detail if you have more specific questions. Definitely handle the gun you want to buy extensively before you buy it, you don't have to just cradle it in the gun store. Rack the slide a couple times, test single and double action, flick all the controls, keep in mind it will be much heavier loaded.

>PANIC BUY RELIEF GENERAL
nope. its still real here in california
>>31956342
I'm broke and want an ar before Jan.... about to sell all my vidya. Fuck retarded as bussed in protestors and libcucks
>>31956339
I think I could manage with the decocker, and once I get more experienced look into something frame mounted and maybe a higher caliber for home defense. When I do though I'm obviously not going to get a .40 since I'm not made of money.
I've heard only good things about the CZs; what about the CZ-75B made it stand out for you?
Definitely not going to bother with Glocks, they're literal meme guns at this point. Milsurp isn't likely to be a option since I don't really need a nugget.
Are SNS guns even worth the money or is it just asking for my shit to get fucked up?
I don't think I'm going to jump the gun on making any purchases yet, I'll have to see what the deal is with the new propositions they passed and how based President Trump will handle things. That'll give me a lot of time to maybe even rent a variety of different guns at the range to see which I like the most.
Also, for any leftover money, besides spare mags and ammo, are there any accessories in general that are a must? Sights, lasers and so on?
>>31956381
If anything , just buy a lower parts kit and stripped lower.
then when you have more money buy an upper.
>>31956389
Thanks , I wanted to go with an 80% since I can knock it out at work . Just definitely skipped up in priorities now.
>>31956399
I suggest this. I use this for al my builds. Can't go wrong with this.
http://palmettostatearmory.com/palmetto-state-armory-classic-lower-build-kit-29040.html
>>31956383
>what about the CZ-75B made it stand out for you?
God tier construction, light slide, excellent controls. Double action pull is pretty long, but single action is nice and crisp, very short pull. Not very expensive.
>Are SNS guns even worth the money
Not as your first gun, unless you are very confident with your firearms knowledge and the person selling it is willing to let you strip it down for inspection.
>maybe even rent a variety of different guns at the range
This is definitely the best option
>accessories
Not for a handgun, I shot some type of match .22lr with a red dot on it, which was pretty cool but non shit optics will run you about as much as the gun. Shitty red dots are the fucking worst absolutely trash.
There are plenty of things you can do to a gun, but all that is pretty much just personal preference, and you'll figure that out as you own the gun for a while.
>>31956426
Thank you very much :) I'll be placing my order tomorrow
