Hell, in the common areas we had a board where you could (anonymously) put a tally mark under the candidate of your choice and write about why you like your candidate. Trump hats, Bernie stickers, Clinton signs, you see them all here, and I haven't witnessed an argument or fight. Before you go >ANEKDOWTALL!, those videos of Berniefags, Trumpfags, and SJWs getting into brawls are more or less anecdotal, and since I haven't seen any hardcore statistics on political violence leading up to the 2016 POTUS election (although, if you have any, please share), I think your fear of political violence is unfounded.

I wouldn't comply with an AWB if a buyback or turn-in was proposed, but I also don't really feel like I would be less safe under a Clinton presidency, as my safety is my responsibility. So long as I have the resources to defend myself, it should make no difference who becomes president in that regard.

Honestly if we can get rid of Blumenauer then that's half the job done. Second question - yes I agree that the left is becoming more violent, especially after the agent provocateur leak from Project Veritas (in b4 conspiracy theory, it was pretty plain sight evidence that was never properly addressed by either party).
