Yep, I prefer it. It's nice not having to worry about banging them up when shooting actively, and if your gun gets warm, as most do, they are also nice for that reason. Been using pic related, although I may switch once it gets colder.

Not really, I much prefer bare hands.

The only time I wear gloves while shooting is in the winter when it's really cold. Otherwise bare hands are best.

i actually did a couple stages of a charity shoot yesterday with my gloves on. actually shot pretty well.

Only when cold or shooting my SBR'd M92 PAP, AK. It can get a little hot if your finger slips off the wood grips.

Feels fucking great in the winter though.

It's bretty cold here for like half of the year, so yeah sometimes.

depends on what I am doing, usually if going to the range no unless it is cold or i am shooting the ak or one of my mosins, that one mosin is a bitch to cycle due to minor pitting in the chamber so the extra padding prevents my hands from bruising, the bolt on that gun also caught the second knuckle on the pointer finger of my right hand and tore it down to the tendon so with that mosin I wear gloves. If I go out into the desert to shoot I usually at least bring gloves and usually wear them as well they are good for picking up brass because the rednecks that go there usually leave a ton of broken beer bottles glass slivers suck to pick out of your hand.

When I'm running drills where I'm trying to GOFAST and still hit shit and stay in cover, yes, then I put my gloves on because you can get some nasty bites when you're trying to work the gun FAST under lots of stress.

If I don't wear gloves, I get gun powder residue all over my hands, and then all over everything I touch until I can wash my hands. They also guard against unexpected burns and allow me to handle hot brass.

Anything heavier than fastfit gloves are pretty much a no-go, I have trouble with the glove tip on my trigger finger, and I'm not cutting the glove's finger tip off.

Those are sort of similar to the first kind of gloves being issued during GWOT, probably predates them though.

Attached pic, 2 pairs fast rope gloves, gloves similar to the ones in your pic, fire retardant gloves (I think, I never used them), cloth/padded gloves. These were all issued, I used mechanix personally.

yes, unless I'm practicing with my carry gun. if you're training, your attire and equipment should be as similar to your attire and equipment on an average day. but for my rifles and other rangetoys who cares, gloves are comfortable

If it's REALLY cold out (-10 and lower) I'll wear one with the trigger finger cut off. Any other time, no. I shoot a significant amount better without them due to feel and ability to maintain hold with the least amount of resistance towards squeezing the trigger.

Gloves are comfy, I also like not having to think about if I'm gonna burn my hand or cut it up on something. But I practice shooting without them too

Mechanix gloves are a meme.

Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad general use gloves, and they are better than riggers gloves.

Although if you ever try to do any real work with them, the velcro can't tolerate any dust, and the palm and fingers wear through pretty quick.

As soon as that velcro goes, they will be eternally falling off, the pull-ons are far superior, although they still wear pretty quick.

I found a pair of ironclad brand general use pull-ons lasted much longer.

But if all you're doing is weapons handling, Mechanix should do just fine, unless you intend to use them as a duty glove.

Looks like you compromise mobility for no good reason.

I got these Oakley gloves a while ago, and they are form fitting and grippy. don't compromise manipulation (although typing on a keyboard isn't easy with them desu)

Always be wary of knock-offs when buying 'premium'.
