Here's an idea, instead of making them integrated weapon systems, make them hand-held weapon systems linked up with the suits' HUD. While we're at it, turn the Iron Man suit into a proper Operator suit. Give the suit the possibility to control and guide dozens of different drone and weapon systems at the same time, ranging from flying recon drones to tracked vehicles. Make it possible to easily spot artillery and air support and give the suit the ability to broadcast its information forwards in the chain of command.
