If I want to put a shorty stock on my Mossberg 500, are Magpul and Hogue my only options? Right now leaning Hogue for both price and

Witch ones better quality?
And also I just ordered a pardus PA pump action shotgun online, anyone have experience with them? How'd I do? I got it on sale for 330$ regular was 680$
Put related

I've never heard of Pardus before. I'm aware that there are some halfway decent SGs coming out of roachistan these days, but I just paid $370 for my Mossberg with two barrels.

Yea I never hear of them either and there where no reviews, plus the sale so I decided to buy it probably throw a review up after gone shooting a couple times. Also my friend just ordered this so I don't really feel bad, pic related
aesthetics, you say?

That pump is beautiful man. Is there a company that makes a shorty wood stock? Tactical wood furniture is sexy.
I can't wait for this shit to be released, hell, I might even buy it.

From what I've seen, LOP is kinda long.

i have both
...the magpul stock is high quality, great fit & finish, adjustments are obviously very easy, & a right out of the box has an attachment point for a sling....plus points for quick-detach & (sold separately) loop for sling clips of various types, highly recommended
the hogue stock is essentially a mossberg factory polymer stock with rubberized over-molding, standard quality, a functional stock....
A WORD OF CAUTION....
the polymer studs in the buttstock, which the recoil pad screws into, are smaller than those of the factory stocks & are quite easy to break if the butt pad screws are a bit too tight

hadnt seen this before. interesting
...that background music is ridiculous. gun ads like this bug me

not a bad stock but doesn't help taking up any recoil. forend, compared to the original, i could take it or leave it.

I like the subtle gradient, nice touch
I just got ahold of a benelli nova. I like the feel of it, but after looking around on the internet for aftermarket parts, it doesn't seem like there is much available for it compared to something more popular like a mossberg 500. I'm mainly hoping to attach a rail to it, but there isn't a simple rail that I can just stick on the top. The best thing is probably the B squared saddle style rail. Anybody know of anything better (/cheaper) for either the nova or a winchester 1300 defender?
Going to buy my first gun soon. Mostly to shoot skeet and trap.
I'm a poor Californian college student, is a Mossberg 500 the way to go? I've only heard good things

As an addendum, can I take deer slugs to shoot at an outdoor range? Or will they kick me out?
I've got an old Wingmaster my grandpa willed to me. I'm going to get a +2 tube extension so I've got 6+1 total. I've never been much of a shotgunner, but I've hunted fucking everything with this thing.
Real time question:
>No. 2 Birdshot
>1550 FPS
>127 .15 caliber pellets
vs.
>No. 4 Buckshot
>1325 FPS
>27 .24 caliber pellets
Both would have similar penetration just having difficulty settling on one for defense.
>>31913616
do they really have similar penetration? I thought bird shot was pretty terrible for self defense
>>31913569
At a trap range you maybe could get away with shooting them at sjert, but you'd look like an idiot an miss a shit ton. A regular range shouldn't give a shit
>>31913892
Usually when you hear that people are referring to game loads. No. 7 1/2 or 6 shot and on low brass, its cheap and everywhere but meant for squirrels and doves and little guys like that. In that regard, yes, birdshot is shit.
But if you get some high brass, high velocity bigger birdshot like No. 2, BB, or T shot you're really going to do just fine. Even magnum turkey loads that have a shit ton of gun powder behind a heavy load of No. 4 could fuck up someones day but I wouldn't go less than No. 4 birdshot and never use low brass.

This site shows a good example of various shot sizes and penetration depth. Judge for yourself.

Oh I would use target rounds on a trap/skeet range, I meant using deer slugs on a rifle range for fun.
I'm not new to trap shooting, I've just never had to think about the gun I've used before. Like I said, I've heard good things about mossbergs, and I've seen people shoot them at the range, but I just want to collect as much info as I can before I make the purchase. I think I can find one for $300-400 which is a lot for me, so I wanna be smart and well informed.
Scatter gat users. I just picked up my first shotgun. Can someone explain to me what cylinder bore choke means? A buddy of mine has a plain cylinder bore shotgun. Will I be able to fire slugs out of it? Bear defense tool intended.
>>31915585
Cylinder bore means no choke constriction.
You can fire slugs out of any size choke. Most bulk pack slugs actually do better with a skeet or improved cylinder choke.
>>31915622
Oh, so it's just a fancy name for cylinder bore?
