There's a lot of things I don't like about glocks; trigger, grip angle, lack of manual safety/decocker, having to dry-fire to disassemble, disassembly being a pain in general, ect. but I've never held a gun that would slide-bite you for anything other than holding it wrong. Lack of a beaver tail may make it easier to hold a glock wrong, but it's still holding it wrong.

Maybe it's changed since gen1, but mine has these tiny ass ribs you have to pull down to take the slide off. They're hard to get a hold of and if you don't pull both sides evenly it'll get stuck.
I find my pa63, 1911 and fnx all much easy to strip.

It's because people are trying to hold a glock as if a glock was meant to be held by human hands. In order to get a grip on a glock as if you would hold a 1911, the crotch of your hand is going to ride high enough to enable slide bite (the steeper the grip angle, the higher the crotch of your hand will ride). Since a glock's grip has almost no angle to it, it takes a lot of practice with people who have a lot of experience with other firearms. If it's your first handgun, it's not so bad because you aren't used to something else. Took me a few hundred rounds out of a G22 to actually hit a basketball size target at 15 yards, instead of the ground in front of it (traded it for something else because I can't trust my life to that shit.)
